failed due to web cam problems... fixing that by buying a canon 550d in a few weeks...

I'd loose facial animations in the future, though.

First time with the new Premiere...

I got out my popcorn and have started a ToY watching marathon. This should be fun. mini/bigsmile

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Why did so many people upload and render it the night of the deadline?

With that much time to complete the films, wouldn't it be better to do it the day before?

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Deadlines aren't nearly so much fun if you don't finish just a few minutes before! It's the highlight of the competition, the thrill of having a slow computer!

Yeah I don't understand either. But, hey, judging's not going to take place immediately, so it shouldn't matter if some entries are a little bit late.

I don't make Brickfilms. I trade virtual hats.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

I've really, really enjoyed the turnout for ToY. mini/smile
Yesterday was such a great day for Brickfilming. So many great films, so quickly! mini/bigsmile

My top three favorites so far:

#3: The Jumping Frog
#2: Marooned
#1: Possessed

I hope at least one of those gets a prize. mini/tongue
Those folks deserve it.

If you've finished it, now. I don't see no point in making people wait for it, if it's done upload it and share it with the world.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

I'm thinking a week might be too long.
How about 2 or three days.

If your looking for events, just look in the Contest and Festivals thread or the General Film Discussion thread.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Also I thought I'd announce that the judging panel has been decided: the contest entries will be judged by Noodle, MindGame, legogod, and myself. For anybody who is not sure who legogod is, he was the first member of the review panel, besides Brickfilms.com creator Jason Rowoldt, and joined the community shortly after Brickfilms.com was created.

The link in "buikes" is the same one as the link in "BuilderBrothers". mini/wink

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

I'm really happy with your choice of judges. I'm pretty pleased to hear that my film is going to be judged by people who know a lot about film making, some real pro's.
Good luck to everyone. Just a few of my favourites:
Possessed
Sir. Clumsy Bob
Secrets of the sphinx (think it was called that, it was pretty good)
The Los Angeles River Murder

I really liked all of these, and I hope that they get a high place in the judging. mini/bigsmile

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Make sure you watch Builderbrothers' "Celebrated Frog..." entry which is amazing!!  It and "Marooned" are my top two favorites.  There are several that I like next, including three of the four you mentioned.  I don't envy the judges in this contest.
