Parodies are fine, I'm sure. What do you mean 'out of context'?

yes, parodies are fine, but I don't think the judges would want a parody of an old western film...

I LIKE PACK 2

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

For pack two, are the advent sets the miniture sets that came in the calender, or are they something else? Sorry if that sounds like a daft question. mini/smile

so we're allowed a war entry, but we're not allowed blood and people dieing? If i new that i would've came up with an awesome idea when i started. mini/confused

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

No blood or gore. Death I think is fine.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

This will probably be my only question in this thread, and sorry if someone asked this previously:

Would this type of story count: A mysterious old man recounts his lifetime to someone. He went through a lot of things, and this would be like a thriller/drama/action type film. Would this count as made up history? Or should I stick to my 1920s gang story.

Yes, I think it's fine to show somebody dying, as long as it's not excessively explicit, i.e No blood, gore, and perhaps too much a realistic depiction of pain.

But you could probably have for example, someone getting shot, or decapitated, as long as it won't give more sensitive people nightmares haha.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

A small amount of blood would be OK, but no heads being blown off with red stuff spurting out of the open neck. A good guideline for any of the anti-gore/profanities rules is to just make something that won't offend anyone on the site.

Absolutely. There's no reason why not.

That'd be fine, yeah.

Guys, if it has history in it, even fictional events in a historical setting, then that's totally fine.

I think as long as there's no blood, death and hand-to-hand is fine. Even being shot as long as it isn't chunky.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

i'll be in this one

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Everybody's done with their script. I'm taking my time on my ideas to make sure it's good. (Person in background): "You haven't even thought of an idea!" (Me): "Be quiet!"

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Meh, I don't even have a decent idea yet.

After a five year hiatus, I have returned
