Re: Brickfilm classics
I agree, I've never seen any LEGO pink floyd. This is great!

Does that mean I'm a bad omen?
Yes, yes it does.
I apologize if someone else has posted this, as I haven't read the whole thread.
But LEGO RPG: The Movie is an under appreciated classic, in my opinion. Sure, it's filled with LEGO Studios 7 FPS (not-so) goodness, but it will tap into your imagination and take you on an exciting adventure.
It's also an hour long, which may make the LEGO Studios quality seem unbearable to everyone used to the 15 FPS standard with pristine image quality, but if you can look past some of its technical shortcomings, it's a great film.

Its of the the only Brickfilms that has used the B-Movie genre, and with a nod to 'Evil Dead' (Groovy!). Its a little freak of nature that for reasons unexplained - I love. Sure, its nothing compared to the Golden Age classics, but both this and 'Days of Our Pizza' are the most entertaining Brickfilms in recent memory.
Though my biggest inspiration is 'The Magic Portal'. I play homage to it in 'Get Impaired' with the car chase through my house.

Some of the earliest official brickfilms made (released in 1987). Really good stuff here.
All of the Mr Socially Impaired episodes are classics, they go into great detail with their characters, the plots have lots of twists and turns, and there's never anything to unbelievable.
I don't care what anybody says, America: Outlawed just became my FAVORITE FILM EVER!
For crying out loud, it's significant, RECOGNIZE IT'S SIGNIFICANCE!
It is the Lord and King of all that came after!
Course America Outlawed is awesome, it has been my favourite brickfilm for some time too.
Anyway, I'm too lazy to see if someone else has posted 12 Bucks (which probably is in the previous pages). I love Twelve Bucks and his "nostalgic" feeling. It's a classic indeed and one of my favourites now.
Same. Twelve Bucks is a classic. I loved those Sports things by the way, BertL, I haven't seen such intricate amazing animation like that in ages.
The Factory Fix is a classic IMO.
I dunno what everyone sees in Twelve Bucks. sure it's a classic, but...
All of the Mr Socially Impaired episodes are classics.
I wouldn't count Mr Socially Impaired as a classic. There awesome yes but not classic.

hey eveyone, keep an eye out for my next classic, Nathan's big around the house adventure with SEALs
Hmm... you can't really predict whether something is going to be a classic or not.
Welcome to BiM, btw.
Anywho, I re-watched Monsters from the Id, so damn good. Definitely would have made it into my top ten brickfilm list (if I had one). The dialogue was done in an odd way (using dialogue from films), and this, along with a lot of other stuff, gave it a real cinematic feel. The voices seem so incredibly well done because you compare it to what you usually get with brickfilms. The entire thing, the sets, lighting, animation, are great.
I still have no idea what it's about, though.
