Many people misunderstand the meaning of classic. I find that The Citizen of the Year is an average brickfilm that has been bloated by clowns on the site into something big. It does lack many important parts, and is overall average.

WRONG wrong wrong wrong

It's a bleeding hilarious film (i.e., the perfect comedy) that isn't about two stereotype Joe an' Darcy schmoes who talk about video games or geeky crap or whatever. Its hilarious voice acting and overall scenes have been fondly quoted by all sorts of members of the community for ages. Just because Watson didn't spend a thousand bucks to make it or hunch over in a bedroom somewhere being coached by Shaolin monks on how to animate the smoothest walk cycle on the planet doesn't mean it wasn't genius and hasn't since become a gen-u-ine classic.

Gosh.

Also, Mindgame's post wins by a landslide.

AMERICA: OUTLAWED!
How could you guys forget that one?
Anyway, I'd also put Zombie Attack 2 in there as one of the few modern classics, and Taco Trouble.

Re: Brickfilm classics

Dangit, I wish I was on my old computer right now. I need to have a look at my old brickfilm folder. Blambo: Part II was another awesome oldie-but-goodie!

Re: Brickfilm classics

Well, to us (this is definitely unofficial) a classic is something that inspires us to film, and is enjoyable every single time. A classic also has a sense of wonder and awe to us, it keeps us wondering "How did he, she, or they do that?" To us Unrenewable did that, even though many of you disagree, this is just our opinion. Now keep in mind that we have not seen practically any of the older classics, so we will look into that. Also, you may feel free to add modern classics as well (From 2008-Present).

Thanks for RUINING my image of Watson, Shale.

But Mindgame's list pretty much is comprehensive for me. I'm sure there's one guy or another I'm forgetting, but I can't really think of them right now. I actually looked up 4guys1brains stuff again a week or so ago, that was pretty fun. I've always enjoyed their Bond parodies, but they've really aged much better than I might have expected.

I used to enjoy this film a lot, it's still fairly enjoyable: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGDrvlbxplk

Re: Brickfilm classics

Why, when were you guys born?

I don't mean to brag or anything but I am 15 and was reading LEGO Catalogue at an early age. So I used to see the LEGO Studios ads, wondering why they'd sell a monster foot on a stand xD

I also wondered how that little camera that the director figure holds could shoot video.

We don't approve of that here.

Re: Brickfilm classics

I'm 17, born in '93, but I only started brickfilming 1.5 years back.

Re: Brickfilm classics

Citizen of the Year, Driven, The White Ninja, The day Brickfilms.com Crashed.

What's the point of making brick models if your little brother destroys them?

Re: Brickfilm classics

I'm 14, turning 15 in a few days. Started brickfilming in 2007 I think.
