Just finished whipping through all the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books, and I loved them; however, I was kind of disappointed with the ending of the last book.

I hope Eoin Colfer does a good job with the next book, and doesn't add any nods to environmentalism, like he did in his last Artemis Fowl book.

I really don't think Eoin Colfer is up to making a book like The Guide.I love his books, but the Guide isn't his style.

Re: Books!

I just read Alas Babylon. Pat Frank's matter-of-fact writing style is a bit unnerving. It felt un-emotional, when it could have been amazingly moving. It is definitely a great book, though.

Re: Books!

I just finished Left For Dead by Nick Ward. It's about the 1979 Fastnet Race disaster, and I thought it was very good, and very well written. But I'm not sure if non sailors would enjoy it as much as I did.

Before that, I read The Green Marine by Graham Dale. It's about an Irish man fighting in Iraq with the US Marines. It was very interesting. It gave a very good look inside the war and what it's like.

Ugh, now I've got no books to read. I'll have to get some more soon.

Daniels Story

This was a some what good book, we had to read it for Novel in School. I enjoyed it, it is about the Jews going to all the Nazi camps. Some parts are a bit gruesome, besides that, it is a good book :-)
