Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

@Holding, those look pretty good. The second one looks really really small, but It works.

@Kizar, It looks good too.

Easter is gonna be cool!

LegoCloniac, the general store exterior set does look very small.  I was thinking about little mom & pop shops and how they put so much in a little space!

Not actually a frame from the film, but close enough I hope.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

A Life? Cool! Where can I download one of those from?

I don't know who Alex & Derrick are, but I'll go find the first one & find out.

You are in for a treat, son. Wells' videos are the reason I started brickfilming.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Back before I did YouTube, I didn't watch many LEGO videos.  But a long time ago, LEGO had some videos on Comcast on Demand.  Nathan Well's minifigure thing was one of those few brickfilms on there, and I watched it several dozen times.

I've never seen Alex and Derrick before, though.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

It always makes my smile when I learn someone was inspired by my films. mini/smile

If you want to catch up on Alex and Derrick, you can watch all of their films here:

Please keep in mind that most of these were made in my early brickfilming years, when I was still learning how to do pretty much everything. Watching the films in order is interesting to me, because it chronicles my growth as a person and a filmmaker over the years. Alex and Derrick were invented when the "Two dudes on a couch" (AKA "dynamic duo") brickfilms were extremely popular (probably inspired by Blunty). Alex and Derrick weren't that original or interesting, but I grew attached to them, and they seem to still have their fans. They are also the only "dynamic duo" besides Zach "MindGame" Macias's Ben and Andy to survive the Dynamic Duo wars of 2004-2008*.

Nowadays, they usually channel different aspects of my interests, experiences and personalities. In fact, the events in Five Years Later are almost entirely autobiographical, with a few minor embellishments. mini/wink

Yes, very dark times. But, thankfully, not as bloody as the Cola Wars of the 1980's

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

The frames look pretty cool, but the expression used for the face Jesus has just looks really like he is really really tired and entirely apathetic about everything in the the world except getting back to bed, which seems a bit strange.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Jesus isn't supposed to be Mr-Happy-fun-time all the time. Remember the ragequitting in the temple, and bear in mind the physical and emotional pain he went through from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday.

So I think the face works well. I expect Jesus to be a little sad about his (temporary) fate.
