that star on the floor really doesn't look square/cubed from these angles.
It's interesting how the studs hide the edges in that way.
Looking forward to see this in motion.
Awesome, you made a really cool Black Panther.
Cool stuff, Jamster. I hope it looks just as good in a video and doesn't look too shaky or blurry.

I hope so too.
Very nice quality on that frame, as has been said, look forward to seeing this in a video.
Nice motion blur, nice masking, nice...black panther has no shadow ! Just kidding, frame looks great .

I know, I'm so bad at masking that for now, I just focus on the movements. I'll do shadows when I've developed a bit more.
(edit* not as huge as I thought it'd be)Sorry for the huge image but I felt the urge to show off this new great technique I've been doing. If you have a second monitor I strongly urge you to use it as your "greenscreen"/backdrop. Literally pull up a picture (I created my backdrop in AE and pulled it up) and animate your figures in front of it. If you have a good quality monitor it should look great. It's such a simple idea but I've been blown away at how much time it saved me in the editing room and how much better it actually comes out looking, than using green screen.
It might just be my crappy computer, but, I don't see the image.
Same here, maybe because it's hosted on Dropbox and not a normal photo sharing site.
I signed in but still no luck.
@Jampot, love the set, looks great. It would look better with a shadow, so did you have to remove it in the masking process? You may have to adjust the rig holding the figure up, but including the shadow helps the realism considerably. Also, personal opinion here, but I think there's too much motion blur. It'll look better in action, but as a still frame it's too much. Nothing is really in focus, so it just doesn't look quite right.
Motion blur makes shots look really amazing though. It looks odd out of context, but in the context of action and motion it really helps with faster movements. I did some motion blur for two shots in Leprechauns in France, and it was really nice.
If you want to preserve the shadow, though, just animate it like this:

We can't view it, as it's in Dropbox. Try uploading it to somewhere like Flickr or Brickshelf.
Here's a frame from the 20 min+ long epic zombie action drama thing we're working on. This frame is part of a camera movement I'm really happy with. Most of the film won't be as bright and colorful as this frame, though.
Whoa, how long have you been on this project? When do you expect it to be done?
