great idea, one question though   will the batman have 2 lives as Bruce Wayne and batman  or are you just going to treat him as batman the superhero ???

For the most part, this is about his Batman side. And the story will mostly revolve around him and the lunatics he's trying to stop. I personally don't like it when Batman movies (or any super hero story) spends too much time on the secret identity of the hero rather than the hero side of them. It's okay to an extent, but sometimes it just gets dull. Because this is a short, I really don't have much time to focus on Bruce Wayne without seriously depriving the movie.

Despite all of these views, I'm still going to have some stuff about both of them. Especially in a scene very near the end which I think very nicely shows a lot of his life in general. and different scenes with both sides of him. Still mostly Batman. Though, I've always liked the idea that he is actually more Batman than Bruce Wayne. To quote Batman Begins: "This is your mask" (said to Bruce Wayne)

Anyway, here are some more pictures of the Bat-Mobile Photo-Shopped:

Most of these are done with some varying levels of decreased saturation and amplified contrast (one of my most favorite methods in photo shop), also one or two have a defuse glow.

I may modify the saturation/contrast through the whole movie, (Like with MAILBOX OF DOOM), more lightly though, and not as extreme, just to make it that slightest bit more stylized and a touch gritty. And during shots where people are affected by fear gas from Scarecrow I shall probably go all-out with it. (more like these pictures, maybe even more extreme). Haha

Re: I Am The Night

Looks nice except for the fact that Batman has no mouth. I can see why you used that mead but you might want to put a decal mouth (Idk if they even make those) on it so he looks more real. But it looks nice.

Re: I Am The Night

Well he has a mouth, it's just covered up by some glowing thing. xD
I just thought it looked cool. Haha
And I'm going for more of a visually striking stylized look for everything, rather than realism.
I like the glow mouth. he he

Re: I Am The Night

How come in the first shot Batman has two capes on? Is it showing motion or something? All the other shots look awesome! mini/smile

I'm working on getting my studio back up and running, so stay posted...

Re: I Am The Night

That's actually one cape, but it's slightly different from the usual star wars one. The vampire from the collectable minifigures (series 2) has it.

Anyway, the project thus far looks superb. I echo Jargon's comments regarding the creations.

It's still basically not being done yet.
I've been quite busy with (Enter Vladimir Vango) and need to do a whole lot of stuff before filming can actually begin.
I'll be moving my animation studio to another room with enough spare room to fit a big table so I don't have to sit on the floor anymore. Also we need to get the new camera. But pre-production plans and ideas still develop in my head.

Re: I Am The Night

Sounds cool. By the way, nice work on the V. Vango! I've seen it.

Re: I Am The Night

Pretty awesome! When do you aim for the release? If you're not sure you don't have to though.

I can't wait to see what you come up with! Finally, a GOOD LEGO Batman film!

a year or two from now.
Not a very precise window, I know. xD
Obviously, I want this to come out as soon as I can, but I want to spend a lot of time on it to make it perfect. mini/smile

Anyway, here are some pictures I took of Stately Wayne Manor.

It's not finished, as you can see, I had been making it for a while, but it will only show up for just one shot before a scene inside the building.
Rather sad to spend so much time for just one shot, but I want this movie to be epic. mini/smile
I find it's brightness compared to most of the other stuff in the movie amusing.
Though, just as a little reminder that Wayne is Batman, I stuck a little bat-decoration on the front. xD

It will be a while,
but it will be worth its wait in gold. mini/smile
(okay, I know that doesn't make sense. xD)

Re: I Am The Night

Dear oh dear! I'm afraid to say I may have wet my shorts. Considering the usual plain brickfilming sets, this really has set a new standard.

ALSO, do I recognise that gray archway outside as the same one in "Pirates Rule"?

Yet again, that is my goal, to raise the standard, not just Batman films, but brickfilms in general. mini/yes

As for the Archway, yes, the same one. It shows up in all of my stuff (not DUMBLEDORE though)
Pirates Rule!, MAILBOX OF DOOM!, The Legend of Mousty, Bohrok Attack!, How to Not Rob a Bank, and I even managed to stick it into (Enter Vladimir Vango)

Re: I Am The Night

Wow, the Wayne Manor set amazes me... The detail is simply fantastic! You have outdone yourself again! I can't wait to see what it looks like on camera!

Well, you could make it appear in another shot.  Anyway, great job with the set design, and we still have to see the completed version of the mannor. I really can't wait to see this movie, I really like the fact that you put so much effort to make it epic, even if that means building a huge set just for one shot. I wish you good luck with the shooting.

Re: I Am The Night

Wow, fantastic set, ANP.  I really love the amount of detail you put into this, especially the archway above the door.  You must be awful dedicated to make such a huge set for only one shot.

Glad everyone's loving this stuff. mini/smile

And now for some more pictures.

I've updated the Riddler some:

http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/223757_265849600095894_100000125687436_1297916_6535089_n.jpg

I've now given him a skull mask after testing out dozens of heads and alternate wigs and hats. I find the the skull and fedora work best. I've also given him a golden staff with a green crystal which I think looks very Riddler-ish.
I also really wanted to implement Jargon's wonderful suggestion of purple arms, but sadly, his right arm socket is very lose, and it doesn't work with any other arm besides its own.

I've also updated the picture on the first page, and here is a side-by-side comparison of the I Am The Night Batman, and one of the LEGO versions:
