Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

here's the error message I get when submiting a film

Warning: getimagesize(addTemp/temp385.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /nfs/c01/h04/mnt/37798/domains/bricksinmotion.com/html/films/addfilm.php on line 151

I'm not sure what it means, I sent Sloth a PM about it.

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

Just sent a response to your PM, I think it is becouse you forgot to press upload after selecting the file.

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

Just wondering if anyone is using the embedded player, I don't think anyone has commented on it.  If you haven't noticed many films have a watch icon on the films image, if you click the image it opens the player.

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

I use that one. I find it more usefull then going to YT. Especially since YT is getting slower.

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

I use that player as well, I love it. mini/bigsmile

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

So I guess now is the time for the Review Panel to work overhours? mini/bigsmile

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

Or add more people to the panel.

wink wink

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

Currently the review panel has reviewed 34 films since opening (22 reviews were written in beta testing), there are currently 80 unreviewed films :0  The panel will probably get more reviews written on the weekends when they have more time. I'm also building some more tools for them to make there life easier.

EDIT: It's bricksinmotion.com/films/add not addfilm.php

No, that is incorrect, the error message is being generated by addfilm.php

did you you get it working lego2motion after following the instruction in my PM?

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

When I clicked add film, then "Finished Project", it took me too /films/add ... are you sure?

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

Believe it or not I have a really good idea how the submission form works, and films/add/ does not submit the film or generate any errors, it just collects information from the user.  Thanks to the magic of AJAX there are a few more pages involved then films/add/

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

@sloth
Ya I got it to work only after I created an image. If you skip it(leave w/o image) I get that error.

thx Lego2motion

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

OK, I fixed it where not uploading an image would give you the nasty error that lego2motion was getting, now it just says:

Sorry, you failed to upload a thumbnail image for your film. Please go back and correct this.

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

So did you have to manually enter the duration for my BiM advertisement? I noticed when it was first accepted that it was set to 00:00

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

There was an error for the first day or so where films with a length under 1 min were saving the time as 00:00, I tried to go through and fix most of them.

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

Another thing, it would be nice if you got an email saying that your film is reviewed. I just saw mine was reviewed, but if I didn't look in the directory I wouldn't have noticed. mini/smile

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

Do you get mail if your film is rejected ?

Re: The BiM Film Directory is now open!

I think both of those would be a fair bit of trouble with the large amount of film submissions, unless there was some automated way to do it.

The speed of the development on the site is amazing, I went to hit the search and a box popped down to enter a the query. I can't believe you're not getting paid to do this!

Yes, yes you do.  But only if the film is rejected, which only happens if it's not a finished film, isn't a brickfilm, is NC-17 type material, or is of exceedingly low quality.  The rest are accepted into the directory but may only be viewable via the search or "All Films."  The thinking was that since the norm is being accepted, we'd only send notifications for rejections.
