With the last day of school upon me (it's tomorrow), my teachers have been showing us a multitude of movies this past 4-day school week.
The Phantom of the Opera (2004)
Despite what critics said about it, I enjoyed it. If you loved Les Miserables, you'll like this one. Yes, I do mean "like". It's a fun watch, but it isn't perfect, and it does have it's weird aspects/moments. Gerard Butler is cool, but I do have to agree with most film critics when I say that he's more awkward than scary. But any musical theatre fan would like it.
Just don't expect Michael Crawford.
7/10
Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant (2009)
I remember when this movie came out. And I remember seeing a lot of kids walking around with their noses stuck in a Darren Shan book. It got a lot of hype, but not from critics. I can see why. It's just unpleasant to watch, and I didn't enjoy it that much. It's star-studded cast can't do anything to fix it.
3.5/10
Finding Nemo (2003)
It isn't my favourite Pixar classic, but there's little about the movie I really hate. If you've never heard of it, which I doubt you have, it's true! Kids and adults alike will love this one!
9.3/10
National Treasure 2 (2007)
The sequel is just as fun as the first one. It has its funny scenes,

for example, Nic Cage's hilarious breakdown in Buckingham Palace,
and it's fast-paced action thrill-rides, and neither one overrides each other too much. It's a near-perfect mixture.
8/10
Labyrinth (1986)
This campy cult classic was absolutely delightful to watch. And that isn't an auto-censor (if so, wouldn't it be italicised).
This overload of well-known household names (Jim Henson directs, Terry Jones of the Monty Python troupe is the screenwriter, George Lucas is the executive producer, and David Bowie, who not only portrays the antagonist, but also writes his own original songs for the film), and an enchanting, exciting wonder. It has its cliches, and Jennifer Connelly can get a little too theatrical with her performance, but you shouldn't knock until you've watched it.
9/10
Oh, and have a Happy 8,000th Post!
