The Adventures of Prince Achmed (Die Abenteuer des Prinzen Achmed)

A very beautiful cutout animation film from 1926 (thus making it the oldest surviving animated feature film). It's remarkably entertaining; I highly recommend it.

Woah, that sounds really cool, I'm going to have to check that out!

And the last film I saw was:
E.T- The Extra Terrestrial
I bought the Deluxe Special Edition DVD on boxing day for six bucks (best deal ever, came with three DVDs, the soundtrack, a book, a 35mm film frame from the film and certificate of authenticity!) The second disc was the original theatrical version of the film, which I hadn’t seen since I was very young.

Of course, it was a great film, Steven Spielberg really created a beautiful masterpiece here.  All the actors are great, which is impressive since the main characters are very young!  What's really wonderful about E.T is that people argue about whether it's a kid’s movie or not.  And I think this argument come up because E.T. isn't a movie that treats it's audience like it's stupid (which tons of kids movies do!)  The truth is, kids are not often given the level of respect for their intelligence that they deserve.  E.T. and Spielberg do respect their intelligence with this film however, and because of this, a wonderful journey with multi-dimensional characters that is fun for everyone was made!  As a kid, you always knew when you were being ripped off (made for video Disney sequels anyone?) but E.T. didn’t rip you off, and because of this, is still fun to watch no matter how old you are.
On a semi-side note, I actually do think that the slightly updated version which came out a few years ago (disc one in the set) was an improvement on the original, and I'll be watching that next!

Tropic Thunder

That was absolutely hilarious. Robert Downey, Jr. and Tom Cruise were hysterical.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Waterboy

Second time watching it, but it was probably as hillarious as the first time. And the first time I literally laughed my ass off, or at least something pretty close to that.

My old YouTube is since long ago defunct - now even removed.
Here is my new one.

Valkyrie

Really intense. Maybe too intense.

Burn After Reading

Well, that was certainly interesting. Not nearly as funny as I expected, but it had its moments. It was weird in that nothing really came of anything, like at all.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Incredibles.
I really like the animation and effects. Pixar amazes me...

Seven Pounds

Wasn't as emotional as I thought.  I liked Pursuit of Happyness better.  The ending wasn't that unexpected and was foreshadowed alot throughout the movie.

The Day the Earth Stood Still

I haven't seen the original, but I thought this was alright.  I couldn't tell if Keanu Reeves was trying to act or was trying to show no emotion like an alien would mini/lol

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Shaun of the Dead
Very good and very funny... a british comity, whats not to love?

If I'm on the forums, I'm probably waiting for Blender to finish rendering.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

THE DUCHESS

An interesting film about the life of a duchess but I feel it
focused too much on sexual matters.

RATING: 4 stars

It looked to me like he was trying to imitate Adrian Monk.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Finally got around to watching Quantum of Solace yesterday afternoon.
3.5/5 Stars / A more apt title would have been "The Bourne Catharsis" / Similar to Forster's "Monster's Ball", which is a great film.
