Phonebooth
IMO, One of the best thrillers of this decade, really well plotted out, and a great ending!
4 1/2 Bricks out of 5.
Airplane!
Classic.
The Dark Knight
There was nothing on the telly after Airplane!, so I decided to watch it. And as always, awesome.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
Well, considering I wasn't expecting much it was a decent attempt. Made me laugh. It's too bad they couldn't get this series working again, because the first Mummy was fantastic.
Ivanhoe
First time watching it and I don't really know if i like it or not. It's somewhere between.
There was a massive Rocky marathon on TV yesterday, where they played the first 5 Rocky movies.
The first Rocky was by far the best. It was well-constructed, well-acted and written, and handled each of its subplots coherently. It felt like a complete film, and was very satisfied at the end. The rest of the sequels, unfortunately, all fall victim to the same formula and eventually starts to feel a bit monotonous. However, watching all of the Rocky movies at once sort of helped me overlook their shortcomings, and I found myself enjoying them. Of the sequels, my favorite is probably Rocky IV because watching Rocky take on big 'ole Dolph Lundgren is awesome.
I didn't get a chance to see Rocky V, but I hear it was terrible anyway.

Kung-Fu Panda
Fun and entertaining, but it could have benefitted from being a bit longer.
I agree. Good film. I think the length was alright, maybe a bit longer. I just watched it, by the way.
I've watched in the past two weeks:
Yes, Man
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Which was a very good film, but a bit depressing at the end)
Doubt (I loved this film. The acting was really good)
Four Christmases
Wall-E (Continues to be a great, great film)
Gettysburg (Again. There's a lot in this film and I still find new things that I've missed before.)
And several others that I can't quite remember.
My favorite of these would be Doubt.

The Chronicles of Narnia:Prince Caspian
It was horrific.
It was like Lord Of The Rings and The Lion,The Witch and The Wardrobe were in a car crash, and got mangled together into one big...thing.
I mean, walking trees coming in to save the day?Where have I seen that before?
And the giant water-god thing at the end looked EXACTLY like Saroman!
And it was so frikkin' long!

Casino Royale(2006)
A brilliant action film, had a great start and went through smoothly, some scenes were a bit slow and boring, but the action scenes were done so well. I really enjoyed this, and it had a great ending. The last line was classic.
Top Secret
A hilarious film with countless visual gags from the creators of Flying High.
Slumdog Millionaire...brilliant. Sorry but I think it tops The Dark Knight for 2008. Before seeing this movie I would call that blasphemy but the film was just amazing.

IIRC, Lewis' Prince Caspian was published before Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. The two collaborated quite a bit, I would assume, so I don't think it's fair to attribute the 'walking trees coming to save the day' to the one author.
WALL-E
It's saucesome. Someday I'll write an actual review for this.

It's expected that Lewis and Tolkiens work would be similar, they were best friends.
Valkyrie (2008, Directed by Bryan Singer):
A very accurate portrayal of how Claus Von Stauffenberg (Played by Tom Cruise), lead the last attempt on hitler's (David Bamber) life by Nazi Officials. Tom Cruise gave a stunning performance, along with supporting roles from Terrence Stamp (General Ludwig Beck), and, surprisingly Eddie Izzard, who played Fritz Erich Fellgiebel. Overall this movie is a great portrayal of "Operation Valkyrie" of July 20th, 1944.
Overall Rating: 9/10 "Almost Perfect"
Did i go overboard with the review?
Someone's been watching the after credits.
The Wrestler (4/5) - An intimate look at a washed-up wrestler
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (4.5/5) - A visually fantastic film with an equally fantastic story. David Fincher does Forrest Gump.

And they both taught English at Oxford. They challenged each other to make two series of books, fantasy and sci-fi. Lewis was the only one of the two that were able to finish the sci-fi.
