Re: What was the last movie you watched?
Tolkien actually converted Lewis to Christianity.
The last film I watched was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I liked it.

Allmighty Bruce..
I think soo...
Frost/Nixon (4/5) - Langella's portrayal of Richard Nixon has a good chance at an Oscar this year.
I watched for the first time yesterday:
Modern Times (I thought this absolutely hilarious)
Life of Brian (Also very funny)
Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket.
Tolkien actually converted Lewis to Christianity.
I think it was the other way around.
No, Tolkien converted Lewis, though he was disappointed that Lewis became Anglican and not Catholic.

Wow, that's pretty interesting. Lewis wrote many books about the Christian faith.
The Brave One
Wow, one of the most realistic movies I have ever seen.
5/5
Dr. Zhivago
and
Kagemusha
both where excellent
The only Kurosawa film I've seen is Ran; I really need to see more. I'm right in the middle of Tarkovsky's Solaris, which is great.
Marley and Me
I cried at the end
The Blues Brothers
Best film evah!

Marley and Me
Not as bad as I thought it would be, but still not my kind of film. The ending went on far too long. My bawling grandmother sitting next to me did not raise the enjoyment level at all.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Pretty good film, long too.
Happy-Go-Lucky (3.5/5) - Better than I expected, but it had it's weak spots. Sally Hawkin's performance was the reason why I watched it, and she didn't disappoint.
Doubt (4/5) - Great performances, especially from Streep.
Valkyrie (3.5/5) - Interesting premise, great cast.
