Inkheart is out where you live? I have to wait till february to see it.

Anyway, I saw Valkyrie and I was disappointed. It didn't really pull me in. It was too slow paced, but I liked how the plan they used. I liked that they portrayed Hitler as old, disgusting looking, and short, because that is what mostly everybody in the world thinks he is, horrible. It was good, but not great.

Yeah, that was creepy. I assume CG? but how? They paint his face green?

"actuallly this involves spiderman too, not batman. but im also taking a new approach, more comedy, less action. i dont see to many movies like that with more comedy than action" --SteveStarfyTV on an Indiana Jones meets Star Wars idea.

Either that or certain shots of seeing his face was completely CG.

Alvin and the Chipmunks

The new one. With amazingly composited CG characters.

It wasn't bad, but some of the dance sequences felt a little too long.

Mamma Mia

Pierce Brosnan murdered me. No matter what you say, I can't watch that movie again.

The Heaven System
Watch it now!

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Golden Compass

The movie felt very rushed so they could keep it in the 2 hours. It skipped many scenes in the book including the real ending. The ending in this movie was begging for a sequel. I still liked it though.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Rock

Nicholas Cage, Sean frickin' Connery, and some famous third guy take the stage. This movie is great still watching it the 3rd time. Great action sequences, well thought escape plans, and scenes that are rather saddening. If you haven't seen it, go rent it now, it'll be the best 2 hours in a long time. I promise.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Annie Hall
Arguably Woody Allens best film.  It was on Turner Classic last night, and being the third time I've now seen the film, is still funny as ever!
I plan on seeing either Benjamin Button or Valkyrie soon, as I got a free movie pass for Christmas.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The Dark Knight

This is, like, the 3rd time I've seen it this month. It's still awesome.

300

Got to watch this one on our brand new LCD flat screen, which rocked out loud.

Death Race

For an action movie, it wasn't terrible, I guess. Joan Allen's quote about "we'll see who sh*ts on the sidewalk" was probably the best part.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Howl's Moving Castle

This is the first time I've really been exposed to not only Miyazaki but also any anime beyond Pokémon (which I've seen very little of, I assure you) so it was a fun experience.  I really liked this movie, I thought the visuals were spectacular, and enjoyed the characters and storytelling.  On a first viewing I did think the ending felt a little cheap, everything came together so happily and Suliman just brushed off Howl in the end, saying "let's end this silly war."  However, this does seem characteristic of the balance of seriousness and humor throughout the movie.
