Re: NEW: Superman and Batman movie (Man of Steel Sequel)
At first glance, I think most of us thought that Ben Affleck is a weird choice. But you guys have pretty much said everything that can be said; we don't know until we see him in a trailer.

I was hoping for Richard Armitage.
One word: Daredevil
Amen.
But yeah, the words on the poster "Ben Affleck is Batman" make me cringe a little. No matter what, I won't watch this (I haven't even seen the first Man of Steel) whenever it comes out. I won't make such a big deal about this choice in the casting of this film, if I won't bother to even go watch the film.
I'll just let it be.
should have casted someone else.
Clint Eastwood should have been Batman. They did say MOS 2 was based off The Dark Knight Returns (kinda)
Clint is to old. he would be perfect for a batman beyond live-action film.
Affleck's like a kid, though. He's too young-looking.
WUT BEN AFFLECK WAS CAST AS BATMAN HEY WHY DON'T WE GO AND PLANT TREES UNDER THE OCEAN THEN EVERYTHING WILL MAKE SENSE]

Eh, The Dark Knight Returns is one of the most overrated Batman novels of all time. Besides, Clint Eastwood would be way too old even for a "retired" Bruce Wayne.
I think he'd be a good Batman Beyond original Batman.
They should have cast Heath Ledger as Batman.
Agreed. Also, I've just had a vision of Matthew Fox playing Batman. That could be interesting; I could see him doing it personally.

Ooh, a weird choice, but I like it.
I think Ben Affleck could prove an interesting choice; an older crimefighter contrasting to Henry Cavill's younger, less experienced Superman. Their approachs to fighting crime could make for an interesting dynamic. I especially like the idea that, in the DC movie universe, Batman was fully formed long before Superman arrived on the scene.
On the other hand, one of my original choices would have been Armie Hammer. He's a good actor, he has the charisma to be a cracking Bruce Wayne, and I think he would have been a good younger Batman. I was quite fond of the idea that, in this movie universe, Superman was the first, and he inspired others to take up their own shields (hence why lots of DC superheroes have symbols on their chests) and fight for justice.
Whatever they do, I'm sure it will be good. I think Ben Affleck will work. To whoever mentioned Daredevil, I think that's buried deep in his past now. He's come a long way since then.
They should have cast Heath Ledger as Batman.
For Warner Bros, a move like that would be suicide.
If I recall, Heath Ledger got pounded by fanboys for playing the joker, and we all know how that turned out in the end.
I think some people are just so cynical now a days that they can't see a bright side in anything. Sure, Affleck wouldn't be my number one choice, but he certainly is not terrible (Daredevil and Gigli were ten years ago).
Also, many people thought Chris Evans wouldn't be a good Captain America because of his portrayal of the Human Torch, and he did a good job.
Anyone wondering what the film should be titled? I think "World's Finest Duo" would be most fitting as my video below mentions:

I hope the studios take the name into consideration because the title would pay homage to the original comic book series titled "World's Finest" where Superman and Batman (sometimes accompanied by robin) worked together.

Well, I hope the "studios" recollect their senses. And, has anyone seen this yet?
