Will flash animations be eligible?
No, because if you notice it says "MEGA BLOKS" video contest.
Well you could still have a brickfilm in flash format. Besides, he never actually said it had to be stop-motion...

No, in the first post it says it has to be stop-motion.

"To enter, create a video clip (minimum length 30 seconds and maximum length 2 minutes) in an animated format (i.e., stop-motion or drawn animation) about and/or using Mega Bloks Halo toys."
Drawn animation could mean Flash, I think.
Okay, it's just that Mr. Mega Bloks said "Mega Bloks is launching a dynamic community-driven competition in which fans can create and submit their Mega Bloks Halo toymations (stop motion animation featuring toys)."
The official website is probably right though.
I'm sorry if I am just talking mad when I say this but...Isn't this a LEGO website? I mean... Its like advertising a new icecream flavor, on a crisp packet. I mean, seriously, isn't there a MEGA BLOCKS site that does this kinda thing?

(P.S: Sorry if this post seems kinda abnormal. Just sayin' what I think : P )
No, this isn't a lego site. This is a BRICKFILMING site, and right in the front page it says that we make video animation using lego or similar toys. Mega blocks is similar enough to fall under that category, don't you think?
^Thats right!

Yeah. I believe that's why the sites called bricksinmotion.com, not legoinmotion.com
Alrighty...I'm talking mad then olol
Besides, it's not like he's shoving it down our throats, he's doing us a favor and offering a good opportunity.
My word, almost everyone here can't see the forest because of the trees! No one has ever said Bricks in Motion, or brickfilming, is about Lego entirely, we just centre most videos around it because... I don't know to be honest. Mega Bloks is technically a lot easier with full articulation, a variety of themes, and cheaper sets losing only a small portion of quality. Welcome to the site, Mega Bloks!
I've ordered some Halo sets, and should start animating tomorrow, with an odd little script that will hopefully be easy enough to pull off. I'll admit, I used to have my doubts about Mega Bloks, but combine animation with Halo, and collecting, and Lego, well - I'm suckered.
Thanks for the heads up about the contest, Mega Bloks! I apologize on behalf of our younger members here: they're uneducated and rude.
This is true.
I haven't animated anything in over 3 months. I am sorry about that, but I have been working on my magnum opus: Ghost Cat: Port of Call New Orleans

This is unproductive and off topic.
Animation has commenced and I shall be working tirelessly to create as close to a perfect brickfilm as I possibly can.
Hi everyone!
I'm glad to see there was some discussion still! I was on vacation last week and this week I am super busy trying to get through the final videos. The submissions will close this Sunday, so I hope you have all submitted by then! Good luck!
