All right, this contest seems fun. I'm thinking of making a 1920s style crime story (Tommy guns + Brownings and all), though I have to study how all the best brickfilmers make serious sets and such, because I don't think I have enough pieces to make an 1900s style town. I'm going to need to better my skills, and begin using greenscreen (I've never tried it, despite the fact that I have the software for it).

Lets see how many people skip this post.

And continue asking the same questions, heh heh. mini/eh

Cool Sounds Good. I'm gonna do something about the mystery of Jack the Ripper...  mini/wink

This sounds great, it will finally give me a reason to finally make a western film.

I'm starting to agree with MPfist0, you can't be so pessimistic about what people think.

Anyways, we don't have any official idea, but I started writing a script for TOY. This might be one of many scripts to choose from mini/tongue .

Yeah, don't do that DerTarchin, I di that, and it doesn't do you good.

Just post you update, and see what people think, don't bother taking thoughts like that anywhere but your mind. mini/wink

I'm not trying to be.. Critical, or patronizing, just trying to help out.

Can we make more than one entry? Like incase someone wants to co-operate with some others but also wants to make their own entry.

yes

If we could reserve this thread primarily for questions that would be cool.  If you want to discuss your ideas in a blog-like manner that might be better suited to a blog or at least a thread in pre-production.  Thanks! mini/smile

First of all, its amazing how many questions keep getting asked on and on (the same ones, too).

hey mini/bigsmile i'm pesky when it comes to questions.
anyways, i like how this has gotten everyone into studying mode. this might be a good theme for  me- i have an A+ in history. i'm also going to watch all of last years entries to see how much better i need to get.

i have a couple ideas. but should i make theme comedic or serious?

Comedic films have won almost all BiM contests.  Though I think that is mostly because there aren't very many good "serious" brickfilms.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Question: Can we incorporate fictitious themes in our films, like, dragons in medieval films?
