Yeah, you're all right about there being too much blur, sometimes it's like there's another minifigure behind him. I won't ever use this for any running in films anyway, it would be more for swords, guns, etc. And this was more of a test to see if this works.

Anyway, I won't use this loads, it's more for stuff like propellers spinning really fast- the kind of thing you can't physically take a still picture of.

To be honest, I really couldn't care if it's not officially motion blur, or even if it isn't at all. I am still gonna use it for films, because it's so simple to do.
Also mobiledeli, I'm sorry but for some reason I can't watch vimeo stuff.

If people really want to know, I may make a tutorial.

And anyway, this was more of a test for HD than anything (Which I'm SO happy with).

yeah filmfire the "blur"... it looks like a mistake.

I'd assume Mob just masked the elements and applied directional blur. Y'know, to create 'blur'. That's how I do it on still photos.

Filmfire, your particular case of 'blur', isn't really blur of any kind. It's a transparent offsetted animation on top of the other animation, like two frames ahead of it.

I'm sorry if this really isn't that good. Infact I wouldn't have uploaded it if it weren't for the HD.
Also Real Brick, I didn't use virtualdub filters at all. No, I used another layer in monkeyjam. I only used VD for converting to HD. And it was also my first test with monkeyjam too, so I'm still learning. I'll make sure it's perfect before using it in any films.
