Topic: Poll regarding BRAWL

Don't get your hopes up, folks.

BUT

I'm in the process of setting up a new BRAWL (a week-long brickfilming contest, with prizes this time) contest to be held sometime this month.  Not everything is in place yet, so there is no promise it will happen, particularly if it's impossible for a large number of people to enter.  I would like your votes on what time-span would be best.  Please only vote if you feel like you'd be likely to enter given a particular time window.  Munzapoppa has told me he has no plans for a BRAWL contest this year and is cool with me doing this.

My personal preference is August 8-15th, because that doesn't conflict with classes for me.  I could probably manage it the other dates, though I'd likely be a little less prompt in getting back to people on questions, submissions, etc.

Currently I'm thinking that if we can't have it during one of these time windows, I would probably just not hold a BRAWL contest this year.  It's a little tough for anybody to enter if everybody's in school and I don't want to make it too close to THAC, which will be in late December or early January.

I would vote for an earlier day, but I'll only be in the cities after the second option, so that only leaves one for me, and I kind of wanted to try out the BRAWL thing. mini/sad

Since we start school on the 16th, the earlier date would be best for us.  Once school starts, we are going to have NO time.

I voted 21st to 28th.

8th to 15th would be horrible for me as I'll be unavailable from the 13th to the 15th.

I can't personally hold the contest later.  I would rather not have it close to THAC.  So if we don't have it in this time window, I would just cancel it.

On a more serious note, I agree with having it during these last few weeks of summer. It might be nice to have a short contest in August every year, not necessarily a THAC or BRAWL type contest, but something that lasts for two weeks or so, an official contest that doesn't have extreme timeframes.

I don't mind when, seeing as I can make a Brickfilm pretty fast so the only setback would be the theme, but school starts in late August for me, so...
