I agree with Smeagol. But if America doesn't make it to next round because of that one terrible call THEN I'll be really mad.

Ah well, I don't suppose you Americans heard of what happened to Ireland.

Do not mention...that.
In Dublin's main train station(Connolly), the words "HENRY THE CHEAT" is written in 15-foot high letters, and can be seen by any train leaving or entering the station.

Same for Brazil. The match against North Korea was awful.

What? That was one of the most interesting ones I've seen, especially since the North Koreans were actually quite good. They played really fairly, too.

Wait, I'm not saying that the match was awful, I meant that I didn't liked the way brazil played. I agree with you that NK was very good, in fact it was way better than what I thought. I was talking about Brazil

Didn't work that well against Portugal though. 7-0 wow hahaha.

That's sad.

Go New Zealand! wooh!

Re: Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Discussion Thread

I think Americans don't like football that much because its not shown on TV as often. One of the reasons could be that it doesn't offer as much advertising space as American sports do. It could also be that football is really plain compared to those fancy NFL and Ice hockey games where there's all that music, half naked ladies and cool looking CGI shooting around the screen.

Anyway Portugal played amazingly today, on of the best games I've seen so far. I kind of feel sorry for the North Korean players loosing 7-0. I hear that one of them is getting demoted in the north Korean army.

Re: Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Discussion Thread

Hahahaha 7-0, unlucky kim!

United States 1 - 0 Algeria

What a match, what a match. Beautiful to watch.

Re: Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Discussion Thread

I had to see snippets of it interspersed with the other one. Really happy about the win, though.

Re: Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Discussion Thread

That offside call was a bad call, but I understand.
