Sorry, can't remember where I saw it, and I don't have time right now to make one myself. However, off the top of my head, here are a few thoughts:
Get the head, torso (without arms) and legs into the Thinker pose.
Take two photos of each arm. For the left arm, have one photo from the side (for the upper arm of the image) and one of it lying across, as it would on a lap (for the lower arm on the image). For the right arm, have it at the same angle (so the inner side) and you'll only need one photo.
Separate the bits of the left arm you need: the upper arm from the first photo and the lower arm from the second photo, then try and blend them together.
Similar premise for the right arm, but you just need to make it look like its bent (see the Thinker pose).
It's kinda' hard to describe, but it should be easy enough in practice. Hope this helps!
EDIT: Some new minifigs for y'all.
First off, some Wild West figs. The one on the far right is a woman in disguise, so that she can be a deputy.
Next are the staff of the Godmax prison, from a while ago. There's Medusa, two Cyclops henchmen, two robo-wardens and one border patrol droid. I'm not making this brickfilm but I may still upload characters every now and then.
From left: Ascanius, leader of the Illyrion elves, the young hero Elpenor, and an unnamed elf-maid. You can see Ascanius' gryphon here: http://www.bricksinmotion.com/forums/po
8/#p318688. They're going to be for my film for the 2015 Showcase (films that aren't entered into the contest, but are made as part of it), assuming I can get some of my smaller brickfilms planned out pretty soon.
