That's a toughie, Super_Squid. I, too, like both.

The one on the left (white accents) seems a little more "classic spaceman," and overall, seems brighter (could have been lighting, but is face is more easily visible.

The one on the right (blue accents) has a bit more flair about him (which isn't bad), and seems to better match the accents on the torso, but, is darker than the other one.

Honestly, I'm leaning a bit toward the blue one, but, might go with one or the other depending on what type of lighting the rest of the film will have to make things easier. If lighting will fluctuate a lot from scene to scene, then perhaps white - blue, while IMO just a tad better looking, could end up looking a bit too dark depending.

Wow! I never knew about this thread! Definitely going to have to show some of mine sometime, maybe my WW1 soldiers for one of the brickfilms I'm currently working on. Anyway, on the topic of the new set of minifigures, the ones I want to get are the dwarf, elf and retro space lookin' dude. I also really want the blue tray, I could think of a really good way of using it ;)

EDIT: The surfer guy kinda looks like me when I'm bodyboarding
Bump.
Anyone else noticed that the minifigures line of minifigures have a much higher quality feel to them. It seems most noticeable in their legs. They move back and forth more smoothly, and are very easy to animate with.
I'd have to agree with that. They do move much more smoothly, and unlike minifigs from normal sets, they don't have to be limbered up when they're first built.
