Re: Critique My Frame!
It looks nice rivvm, though I would add a Lego set behind the character if you can. Also the character is not exactly in the middle.

Here is an updated photo of the same scene.
@GHB & Rioforce, I agree with the green plate not looking the best. I removed the back plate to get rid of the line as well as to hide the edges.
By the way, the set is an imitation of Graceland. (Elvis Presley's home)

Looks pretty nice. I really like the gate and I think the new grass looks a lot better. The only thing I would probably change, is to make a real set in the bacround even if its only a 2D house.
Hope that helps

I guess I didn't make it clear. That picture is just a place holder. I am going to be switching the picture out with a photo of my Dad's office building. (I didn't use that picture in this image for privacy.) If it weren't for that, then I would definitely use a lego structure.

Got it. I understand why you'd do that.
Rivvm M, Whatever you're doing, it looks like an insanely cool video that's coming out of it. Harborlight, I already praised you in a chat room, but it should be proclaimed here just because I love the division of the picture plane and the composition so much!
P.S. @GHB I don't see any pun, but that could just be me.
...but granted, that could be just me. (no pun intended:P )...
My name is grant, so I found it punny to do that, but idk it's stupid.:P

Oh thats what you meant by placeholder. Sorry bout that. Looks good than.
Harborlight: I'm generally not a fan of the 4:3 aspect ratio but you utilize the space in the frame very well. I quite like the composition. Good luck with making the bluescreen look convincing. Many times I don't think bluescreens are pulled off that well.
osom: I like the custom-made gate but it doesn't make me think of "fancy Elvis mansion," it makes me think of "trashy trailer park wannabe." So instead of Elvis, I think of Elvis impersonators.

Thanks..... but thats not my frame......Its Rivvm m frame, in one of his posts he said he is replacing the drawn pic with one of his dads office pictures.......... I probably shouldn't have quoted it in my post. Sorry I'll go edit that.

What osom said is correct.
Heres some test frames, I was practising playing with depth Don't know how well it turned out, but here it is.
And a pic of the set
Wow Osom, that's pretty impressive. I liked how you made those small scale models look rather big. The lighting makes it look rather eerie and sad. (If that's what your getting at) Overall, I think it's really awesome!
Thanks Nathan! I will try my best to make the blue screen look convincing. I am planning on having a rather darkish sky to help set the tone of the film.
That's sweet osom, I think probably the best set of your's I've seen. I think the scale buildings are a little too close to the road, but that's a bit of a nitpick.
Osom, it looks good. However, I think that if the road narrowed more gradually, it would give a better feeling of depth. At my first glance, I thought the buildings were just rocks at the end of a medium length strip of road. Other than that it looks good!
Thanks a ton guys, I'll see what I can do I don't really have many more baseplates, but I think I can still work on these things a bit.
Thanks a ton guys for the very helpful comments.

Here is another frame from my short film Off the Cliff
Again the blue screen is not filled in.
Looks great. I've gotta say, the over-the-shoulder shot is wonderful.
Good luck with the bluescreening. I guess that if it fails, you can use the blue as the sky!
Thanks. That's the plan!
