Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Personal theory: I think Kylo is actualy the grandson of Darth Vader through Han and Leia. This concept of having a grandchild of Vader turn to the Dark Side was something that I believe was explored in Jason Solo from the EU. I think it would be a great plot point and is something I would love to see. And if Rey is indeed a Solo child, that would make it even better imo.

Prequel Trilogy; Mentor vs. Student, Original Trilogy; Son vs. Father, Sequel Trilogy; Sister vs. Brother.

I feel (myself) that Kylo is some fanboy, who dreams the Sith should rule the galaxy, thus, being hired and involved with the First Order in maintaining this goal. I suspect he will be evil, but will lack a lot knowledge that is vital to become a Sith Lord.
But the idea of Kylo being Vader's grandson (along with a brother-sister relation with Rey) is also very plausible, but if that happens, it'll be kind of a let down to me mini/sad

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Kylo Ren is confirmed not to be a Sith, but a member of the Knights of Ren (the group of shadowy figures in the rain). I'm personally fine with him and Rey being brother and sister, but not twins, which has been rumored. It would just be too close and coincidental to Luke and Leia.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

I want to see a Vader force ghost pulling strings for the bad guys and a Anakin Force ghost helping the good guys.....

I'm personally fine with him being the son of Han and Leia, with Rey being to daughter of Luke and whoever the heck the mother is. I'm fine with them keeping it in the family, but not to the point of twins.

They can also use their peripheral vision. They probably still won't be able to hit anything though...

Similar to the originally abandoned idea of having the Stormtrooper use lightsabers and shields. Really cool seeing these ideas come to life in this new film.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

I told myself I wouldn't watch any more TV spots or footage. This is like the fourth time I've broken that promise.

Yeah, I don't think we are looking at half trained conscripts with these Stormtroopers. Perhaps as well trained or better than the skill and abilities of the Clone Troopers.

Spoiler (click to read)

Rumor has it that these troops have been trained from a young for one thing; war

Also interested to know where Finn and Han are in this TV spot. Starkiller base?

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Flamethrowers and huge melee weapons aren't blasters then again. I like to think that the OT stormtroopers were actually decent, just the weapons they used weren't the best, and let's face it, no one can shoot straight against a main character.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

I think the only way I'll be disappointed with Star wars 7, is if it's as bad as Phantom menace.

I do not brickfilm anymore, but you can see my live action stuff here.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

But if it's as bad as Attack of the Clones you'll be fine?

That's not what I meant mini/lol I just don't think it has to be perfect for me to love it. I'm just afraid I'm getting so excited I'll be disappointed but it's impossible for me to lower my hype levels mini/bigsmile

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Well, so far there's no mention of Jar Jar, trade negotiations, or midi-chlorians so I think we're in the clear.
