Re: 2015: The Contest
I love it! Finally, a contest that leaves time for all aspects of the production process and school. Definitely entering!

You can make more than one, but ultimately only one can be submitted to the contest. If you did, say, make a trailer and a scene, but chose to only submit the trailer, you wouldn't be disqualified for having done the trailer. Likewise, having done a scene as well would not give you a greater chance over anyone else. However, the plot must be clear in the one you submit as the other will not be taken into account for this contest - the judges won't even watch the second video until afterwards so that it doesn't affect their decision. Does this help?
definitely. Thank you so much.
I'm destined to keep asking stuff... If I later decide to do a full- feaure brickfilm off this plot, is that a problem? I'm asking this because I have a few plots in mind, but that I destined previously as future projects. That's all.
(sorry for keeping aking things, I also thank your patience in replying)

No worries, it's not a problem. After the contest is over, you can do whatever you like: a feature film, a series, a sequel, whatever. Just not while the contest is active. Even if you did make the whole film while the contest was active (which I wouldn't advise because of the effort involved) the judges wouldn't be allowed to see it until after the contest deadline.
In summary: you can make a feature, but 3rd May 2015 onwards please.

Ok, thanks. Hopefully i'm done. :)
So you said we don't have to make it a whole film and it is encouraged if it is just a single section. Is it still discouraged if we make a whole film (Introduction/Exposition, initial incident, conflict, complication, climax, resolution, denouement) if it is short? (5-8mins)
Yes, as that's not the point of the contest. The contest is to make a section of a feature film, or a trailer for a feature film. A whole story in 5 to 8 minutes would be a short film contest.
I've had some ideas that have been stewing in the back of my mind for some time now. Nothing concrete as of yet, but I think I might be able to make something for this.
I love this idea for a contest! I've had a few scripts sitting around that now have some incentive to be made into a film.:)
I have had an idea for a while:)
All we are waiting for is to finish our motion rig, and then we can start.
Sorry, again... as I'm doing a trailer I wanted to include, in one shot that I made it for this contest. Can I take your logo from this forum for that?

Do you meaning the Bricks in Motion logo or the contest logo. I'm not sure about the BiM logo, but the contest logo should be fine. Jampot could confirm this.
Of course you can.
At the end, if we DO make Videologs, we upload them as private videos simultaneosly to everything else (like the brickfilm trailer or the production photos, ecc.), or whenever we want to (know it's a kinda obvious thing but want to be sure about it)
You can upload vlogs whenever you like, even from now, but you won't be judged on them. They're not compulsory, but you're encouraged to do at least one.

Ok thanks. Oh another thing, what about fusioning vlogs in a larger "making of" video?
