Animation is 30% complete. The first segment contains a very long scene in the Schneider living room, but I've taken what I've learned from the mistakes in episodes 1 & 2, and the animation has been made much more dynamic for a considerably static scene.
I reconsidered my method of time management. During the weekend I have little to no time for photographing anything. So I've rearanged my schedule to focus more on shooting during the weekdays, and unles I have some free time at night, save the majority of the editing & post-production work for the weekend. This schedule change should increase my eficiency.
Segment 1, the longest degment of the four, is nearly complete, running about 9 minutes. For most of segment 2 I will put the Schenider living room set away for a while. I'll be shooting new scenes, including the church scene and other scenes around the trown of Bremen, including the Acme market. I don't even have the Acme built yet; it's just a LDD virtual model. I better get to work. All the new scenes feature establishing shots, and I don't have any of the external models built either. I may continue the principal animation, then build and insert the establishing shots later in the project.
This has more voice parts than episode 2: a total of 21! I do six voices. Mary Charles (Brick 7) voices three. Andy Social of The Sheckies, a guest star, does two. Each of the ten remaining parts has a unique vocalist, both from within and outside the BiM community. I'm honored to have Amanda Allbee, the voice of Shaniequa in CJ Allbee's iconic series, "Joe Brickmond", in the role of the secretary. From outside the brickfilm community, the very talented Anna Hostert is cast in the role of Ann Coulter (I sent an email to the real Ann but she never replied.) Anna will also have a semi-regular role as another character who first appears in episode 5. A really motivated voice actress, she already recorded her lines for episode 5.
Episode 3 will feature original music recorded by my band, Tinnitis, unlike episode 3, which had mostly commercially signed music, mostly from the 80s. I like to keep the production values high, featuring lots of original music that I write myself. There are at least 5 Tinnitis songs, four that I composed myself and one a standard hymn. Some go by very quickly because they are played on commercials during channel switching.
