I am currently writing down script/gag ideas for the next episode of Joe Brickmond. After I take a short break, I will be working on the 17th episode.

Hey, I wrote the Holding Our Own episode 3 & 4 scripts a long time ago, and there were 2 jokes in Joe Brickmond that are a bit like the jokes I wrote in these scripts. I just wanted to let you know so you know I'm not ripping you off!

I have just completed the first draft for the seventeenth episode of Joe Brickmond. Some revisions will be required and I will most likely begin production sometime next week.

Although I am still not completely finished with the script and it still needs some additional revision, I'm having to change a lot less than I thought I would. Once I am completely satisfied with the script, I will reveal some of the details.
JUNE 17, 2013
I have just completed the final draft for the 17th episode of Joe Brickmond
I shall give a few details:
1) The episode will feature the return of Mindy Wolowitz, who first appeared in Episode #12 and again in Episode #14 and she will be a major part of the story. For those who don't remember, she is a barber and beautician who, on her first day at work, gave Shaniekqua an atrocious haircut. She later met Bruce when he was feeling depressed after being told that he couldn't sing.
2) I will not be able to begin filming just yet for the following reasons:
-a) Both my sister and Delaney Hope Willadson (who are featured in the episode) are unavailable for the week, so I won't be able to record their lines during that time.
-b) I have some specialty pieces coming in the mail and I won't be able to film the scenes involving those until they arrive.
-c) My work schedule is restricting me from filming this week and I won't have time to film.
3) I will be giving the same kind of updates that I gave when I made the last episode. This time, however, I will be posting behind-the-scenes pictures on this forum for those who don't have a Facebook (I will continue to post them on Facebook as well, though).
4) I will have to build several additional sets for the episode. Pictures will be posted as they are built.
Stay tuned for further updates.

1) The entire confirmed cast (left to right in both pictures) in order of significance in role except for Joe who automatically comes first
Joe, Bruce, Mindy & Shaniekqua
Laniekqua, Dayden (a new character), Franiekqua & Mr. McGruff
2) I got these in the mail yesterday. The first two from the left will be used in this episode and the last one will be used in what is currently slated to be the 18th episode
3) The first new set for the episode. It is Bruce's apartment. I went for a deliberately hideous design. If you've seen Episode #10, you'll know why

Thanks. Amanda and I will be recording the music tracks for this episode and the next, but I'll definitely think of you in the future

I just completed the beauty parlor, which will be used throughout the show.
I have made a separate side wall piece for different camera angles
Cool. I may be using a beauty parlor in episode 6. I have a character who is Angela's beautician. I might actually use the Butterfly Beauty Shop from Lego friends, since I already own the set.

Incidentally, I just contacted AnimeNinja to do the voice of Dayden (the beautician next to the chair) the other day. Design-wise, I think I may have been subconsciously inspired by Melissa's design and I think that's why AnimeNinja came to mind when I was searching for a voice for Dayden.

I can see the Baywatch lifeguard hair there. My wife made a character who looks very similar to that, but with a different head. I don't even recognize your Dayden head. What set is that from?? It's a cool head. I like the sideways smile. I also noticed that you have apparant crayon marks on a few bricks, which gives everything a personal feel. I like that kind of stuff... not everything so perfect. Did you color some of them as a young child? I remember having Lego bricks in the days when most were black, white, red, blue, green, clear, and a green non-baseplate or non-plant piece was unheard of. I remember being short on black bricks and unsuccessfully trying to color a few white ones. I also broke a few sign pieces to make 1x2 jumper pieces when they were rare (or maybe even nonexistant). How I wish I had those vintage sign pieces back!
Looking forward to seeing Anime Ninja in the part. I have to get back to her on soem voice work. Thanks for the reminder! In HOO episode 4, I'm introducing 4 more friends of Melissa, who, with Chay & Carleigh, complete the "pack" of 7. I found a great actress outside the Lego community to voice friend 5 of 6, Kikka, Chay's "interpeter".
