I can see the Baywatch lifeguard hair there.  My wife made a character who looks very similar to that, but with a different head.  I don't even recognize your Dayden head.  What set is that from??  It's a cool head.  I like the sideways smile.  I also noticed that you have apparant crayon marks on a few bricks, which gives everything a personal feel.  I like that kind of stuff... not everything so perfect.  Did you color some of them as a young child?  I remember having Lego bricks in the days when most were black, white, red, blue, green, clear, and a green non-baseplate or non-plant piece was unheard of.  I remember being short on black bricks and unsuccessfully trying to color a few white ones.  I also broke a few sign pieces to make 1x2 jumper pieces when they were rare (or maybe even nonexistant).  How I wish I had those vintage sign pieces back!

Looking forward to seeing Anime Ninja in the part.  I have to get back to her on soem voice work.  Thanks for the reminder!  In HOO episode 4, I'm introducing 4 more friends of Melissa, who, with Chay & Carleigh, complete the "pack" of 7.  I found a great actress outside the Lego community to voice friend 5 of 6, Kikka, Chay's "interpeter".

I made Dayden (along with 5 other minifigs) at a LEGO Store in Dallas, TX. They have a thing where you can custom make your own minifigs. You can make three for about $10, but my sister and I couldn't stop at three, so we made three more. Mindy's new hairstyle is also a piece that came from one of those custom minifigs.

Yes, I did draw on some of the pieces when I was little (long before I ever started animating) because I didn't know any better at the time mini/lol. There are also some chewed-up pieces (the result of my sister putting them in her pet gerbils' cage many years ago) here at there as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing how AN handles her part. Dayden is meant to be a shy and modest character (that's how she ended up being in the script, anyway mini/lol)

Just so everybody knows, I have not recorded any of the characters' lines (barring McGruff's) yet. My work schedule (and my sister's) has changed recently, so I have yet to find a day where both my sister and I have time to record her lines. I may try to record Bruce and Joe's lines sometime this coming week (in addition to filming), but I don't know when I'll have the other characters' lines done.

I just looked over the script again and realized that Joe only has three lines. That's probably the fewest he's ever had in an episode.

After an 18-day hiatus from filming (and uploading three bass guitar cover videos), I finally filmed the scenes involving Shaniekqua's living room.

The music int his episode is something you wrote yourself?

A majority of the music is going to be by Kevin MacLeod and there will also be background songs, but there will be one brief piece of original music by me (which serves as a vital plot point).

I would like to eventually do all the music myself, though.

Re: "Joe Brickmond: Episode #17" Progress (starting on page 3)

I'd also like to produce music for your series!

That would be awesome. I might consider having you do some the music (in addition to doing some of the music myself as well) for the next episode after this one, because that one will be heavily rock-music oriented. mini/smile

I filmed some more today. After looking over the script, I have a lot less left to film than I thought I had for a while

I also recorded some of Bruce's lines today. It's a lot harder to maintain his voice than I remember. I guess I'm just out of practice mini/lol

Re: "Joe Brickmond: Episode #17" Progress (starting on page 3)

Bruce's voice is hilarious, by the way!  There is one early episode where one syllable is really high-pitched and I crack up!

It's always fun recording Bruce's lines. But it's also harder than it used to be because I can't get his voice to be that high anymore.

Re: "Joe Brickmond: Episode #17" Progress (starting on page 3)

Maybe speak just a bit slower, then pitch shift a half-tone higher.

If worst comes to worst, I might have to do that.

I will have to record more lines before I can begin post-production.

(UPDATE #2)

I have changed the spelling of beautician Dayden's names to Daydin.
