Topic: 24fps walk cycles
I made these tests ages ago but I thought I would post it on here now to see what everyone thinks of it.
There is a bit of light flicker and set movement but I have managed to solve both issues since making these.

That would have to be one of the best '24fps' tests I've seen in a while!

Keep up the good work!
Thanks! ![]()
Wow! That was really smooth! Nice job. ![]()
nice!:DD
very smooth:yes:
Very nice job there. For me, animating at 24 fps is something that feels nearly impossible to perfect - when I think of moving the minifigs' limbs in such tiny increments and still getting proper easing in/out... hats off to you, Sir! Those shots are looking pretty good. As to also provide at least a tiny bit of constructive criticism, I think that the arms could swing a little less forwards and backwards if you know what I mean. But overall: thumbs up!
This is walk cycle is very good. However the arms are swinging kind of "choppy" when it's switching to backwards/forwards.
Keep on! Love it ![]()

This was so smooth, I couldn't even tell it was stopmotion.
The test was ok.
The movements of the arms was smooth - 24fps does that for you, provided you take the time to move the fig in minuscule increments.
There was too much "snapping" for my liking though. The legs don't appear to lift and move from stud to stud smoothly, rather they "snap" from one position to the next. This is quite jarring for me.
Try working on moving the legs between their keyframes more.
That was very very impressive. I like the way it all looked so perfect, the mini figure stayed upright the whole time, the arms moved up to just the right length, all in all perfection. Not even any light flicker. Very well done, good work.

Yeah, I've been working on that since making this test ![]()
