Topic: Shaky cam
This is my first rough attempt at a shaky cam. I learned from this clip that the camera didn't move far enough in one direction and so made the shake a little choppy. Give me your opinions ![]()

Why did you post this board twice? =/
And it was good. Short, but okay from what I can tell. Nice work.

Sorry, my internet screwed for a second, and that's why there's double topics
.
OMGZ DOUBLE POZTZ!!!!!
Anyways, the film was good, nice lightsaber effects, and, for that matter, lighting. The only thing you could have done is when the clone trooper got slashed, make it seem like the person (Jedi, mabye?), has to use a bit more force to slice through him. Even if it is laser, you wouldn't want to make it look like it passes through him like air.
Yeah, I was disappointed in the power of the slash as well. My next test will fix that ![]()
Are you kidding me? Really? Well, thanks
. I'm trying to roll out an actual film, I'm just having trouble getting around to writing a stupid script and drawing the storyboard. As soon as a weekend opens up where I'm not doing anything, I'll start a script and make a short.
My new one . The audio and lightsaber FX were bad because I had to rush the audio and LSmaker was acting up. Hope you like it ![]()

Wow, that was great. How long did it take you? And, how did you actually achieve the shaky cam? In program, or just move the camera around.
Ummm...about an hour, maybe less. And I just moved the camera around.
That looked really good Bricklord. The animation and the camera movement were both awesome. It was just quite dark, hard to see what was happening.
Both tests, but especially the second one, are really well done. Great job on the animation, lighting and the shaky-cam-effect. I don't think the audio is that bad in the second one... I'd say it fits really well. Keep up the good work!
Your second test was amazing! Now that was well done! What program did you use for the lightsaber?
People, I think we have a new hit-animator on the rise here!

Thanks, it's great to hear that from one of my favorite animators
! And yeah, it was supposed to be that dark so that it added to the confusion of a fight.

The program was LSmaker, which a lot of people use but few can actually make it look good. And that was a rushed job I did. I plan to redo the FX and sound today
. As for being a new hit-animator who(almost)came out of nowhere...I need to make a film to confirm that
.
yeah..BG is totally right...your animation is spectacular, really, you are a potential brickfilmer...
If it's not to much of a bother to answer. In the second one did you have one of the jedi's legs off the ground?
BTW it was an awesome test.
