I remember hating that movie because of the slow pace and the ending that didn't make any sense. However, I did see the director's cut, and it was a long time ago.
Try watching it again. The first time I saw it, I was a little put off by the pacing and the philosophical nature of the film (I wasn't expecting the film to be like that at all, so I was caught off guard). The second time I saw it, I was better able to appreciate it because I knew what to expect, and I loved it.

I seriously think this is an amazing film. I loved every part of it!
Where the Wild Things Are
Uh, I put a review on facebook, here it is. It's not so great because I was mainly talking to my friends. 
WHAT???? A Where the Wild Things Are movie?!??! It's gonna be the most horrible thing to crawl on this earth!!!!
Well surprisingly, that is not true about this movie. In most cases, books to movies are a diabolical plot for WWIII, especially for a 15 page children's book. Not for this film. Now of course they had to add tons of stuff to the story to make it into a 2-hour movie, but what was truly spectacular about this, was that everything that was added didn't drift off too far from the storyline. The added pieces was mostly made up of some solid characater development including the main character, Max and a monster named Carol(and yes, it is pronounced CAIR•OL). The film was a very rare film indeed, just because of the clever storyline compared to the old one. Another thing that was in this movie and not many others is the monsters/visuals. All of the monsters were actually guys in costumes and then later edited in the fake faces, unlike being cheesey and un-real like Alvin and the chipmunks.
The music for one thing wasn't very different, although it sounded pretty good and went with the exact moods that happen throughout the movie.
Overall, the movie was outstanding, and was extremely good for a film based off of a little kid's 15 page picture book.

Gran Torino
Wow, this movie was great, Clint Eastwood did a great job really, I loved it. The conversations with the barber were hilarious.
The Great Train Robbery (1903)
This is one of the oldest films I have ever seen, but I still liked it. The 12 min. running time is more than enough because the story is just about 4 gangsters robbing a train and the camera shots are all total shots. But this was a revolutionary film because they first used shots to tell a story and they used a pan (!) for the first time ever in the history of cinema.
The Haunted Mansion
I've never really payed attention to the details of this film, but now that I do it's incredible! I love this movie, I can't really find anything wrong with it. They do a great job making the spooky atmosphere and making the effects. Geat film, an instant classic!

Million Dollar Baby
I think this is the second time I've seen it. The last time I saw it, I thought there were a few problems with the pacing, but after watching it again, I found not a single flaw. This is a beautiful and extraordinary movie.
Ahhh, that movie traumatized me so much.
I've been going to a theater on campus and watching movies at midnight or 1 AM all by myself; it's great.

I recently saw that movie as well. It's the oldest movie I've ever seen.
Der Untergang
I saw it for the second time. Still an awesome movie. Also great performance by Bruno Ganz as Adolf Hitler. 5/5.

28 Days Later
Wow,now that is what a horror film is meant to be.
It did have some slightly cheap looking effects, but overall the visuals were awesome.Also,the characters were top-knotch.I actually cared when someone died for the first time in ages!Cillian Murphy was excellent,and Christopher Eccleston was just messed up.
Zombies are just awesome, or in this case it's a virus but it's basically the same thing
I'm watching 28 weeks later tonight,hopefully.I bought a boxset.
God I love Danny Boyle,sunshine,and zombies.
