Re: Warner Bros. Lego Movie
If they make a CGI lego movie, we will get back at them by making a lego erotic movie of 1 hour and a half and let it spread all over the internet.

But these aren't the same guys who did those films. These, to me, seem like a bunch of guys who want to make a quick buck, and are using LEGO to do it, so they won't use stop-motion, they'll use CGI because it's faster.
Read the comments on the article. One user said that...
A Danish moviesite have talked to a CEO at Lego. He confirms the movie that will be classic Lego and not a Bionicle movie. It will also take place in parrallel worlds. One live action and one completely CGI. And says the worlds with stay apart and not interact in a Roger Rabbit-kind of way.
So it looks like we're in for a CG world.

Looks like DarkMan's plan is underway.
Oh, man. I just got another newspaper article on it. It's official, CGI is taking over. I'm with Darkman. Heck, I'll be a Co-Animator.
If I started cheering about a feature-length CG brickfilm, you guys would probably beat me to death.
So I won't.
Woohoo!
Oops. I don't know how that came out. My fingers unconsciously moved along the keyboard...

*Begins to beat Leo to death*
*Joins queue of people wanting to hurt Leo*
*Walks by eating a sandwich* "I could help..but..nah" *Continues eating while watching*
Cool!!!!:D I love lego!!!!:D
*sells refreshments to people waiting in line to beat up Leo*

I call sound effects.
Easy on the smilies, TBDude. It gets frowned on around here.
Those of you calling for us to join up and make one of our own, you do remember this, right? From what I understand, it's still in progress. Of course, The Doctor's in charge, so infer what you may about its chances of completion...
Oh, and ontopic...
*Starts to cheer as well, then runs away from angry mob screaming like little girl*
I was actually going to say something about that, but I didn't want to get involved in any kind of conflict.
Yes, it's still making good progress. The first draft of the script is almost finished and I'll be making an update to the official thread as soon as I have it ready, which if everything goes according to plan, should be in four days.
To be honest, I don't mind if the movie is CGI. If the movie follows the style of the games, I think it would work very well.
Well, I read about it. But I don't wanna see it.
To me, it looks like it's bad.
I wanted Aardman to make a brickfilm.
Sorry.
I don't mind the use of CG though I think stop mo would be a lot of fun. The limitations that creates are definitely something that most filmmakers probably wouldn't want to have to deal with.
The cases in which the idea of CG brickfilming bother me are ones where the fact that it's LEGO has nothing to do with the story, it's just easier than modeling original characters - if LEGO is central component of the story as I'm sure it will be in this film, it makes sense for the characters to be minifigures.
If nothing else, this could be an opportunity for BiM to shamelessly capitalize on the media attention that this movie should create.
*Takes out machine gun and helps Leo*
Not very enthuastic on the Idea, are you guys?
