I'm interested to see how a full budgeted feature LEGO film will turn out.
I've always hoped that there would be lego film with a large budget(not counting the 3, and soon 4 Bionicle films), but I never thought that it would come true!

Hopefully they don't screw it up and ruin every AFOL's childhood.

..and some live action they say...
Full Article here
So, It's supposed to use live action and animation, though it wasn't said if there would be CG or stop-mo. Also, the deal was made based on the fact the toy movies are big nowadays.
Thoughts?

Why would anyone entrust a full budget movie to a bunch of kids?

There would be a producer to work with us. It's not like they would just hand it to us. You discuss what you need with the Director, Producer, Writer. It's a little thing called breaking down your script. Then the Studio goes out and buys the crap. They won't let on cent slip. Think.
I still think it would be better if just a bunch of us met up and made our own film to rival warner bros. Entirely stop motion.
If we ever want to get a full stop motion movie into cinemas made by us - thats the most logical way...

You misunderstand me completely. Its not about spending money - its about earning money. Thats what studios are mostly interested in. The're not gonna let us have anything to do with it, because why would a studio release any movie to big theatres and to make any profit, if its made by a bunch of kids. Think. Are you teh uber l33t proffesional who currently works for Warner Bros. or another big studio? Is anyone on this site to that level?

Yes, i know. Of course i never meant for all of us to actually do it if it happend. I would suggest someone of higher quality like Mindgame and some others that actually are older and have a good reputation. I'm sure many lego fans would go to see the movie if it were stop motion. But in all seriousness i don't think they would get much money back since they are going against movies that have been really hyped and fans are waiting for. It might not matter though since a lego movie shouldn't take much money. Maybe in the thousands would be enough. And the film will not fail because of the "animators" it would be the writers or the even thought of making a lego film is still kind of weird. Hell maybe real animators would see it.
