Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

I have an idea... I'll see if I actually use it. It involves time travel. I think I might ditch the whole time travel aspect, just so it's more origional.

Hmmm, I'm going to try and enter this, looks like fun, I just need to think of a good idea that will fit into the theme.

Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

This is going to be challenging if i try to enter, i've always used copyrighted music and stuff before, oh well. I like the challenge. mini/XD

Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

I would like to enter but I'm kinda dry for ideas. mini/blankexpression mini/sad

1) Yes, if the creator of the music has the authority to give you that permission.  (Sometimes the record label would really be the authority here.) However I'd assume the music is from an unsigned band or composer, in which case you should be fine if you have permission.

Good, cause my Uncle is Fred Keeler, and I think I can get him to let me use some of his work.

For those of you struggling with a copyrighted soundtrack, Incompetech has a great selection of royalty free music.

I'm quite happy with Suicidal Memories. I have the basic idea and have come up with a few scenes. I wish everyone good luck with your entry.

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

I hope this doesn't just turn into a straight-up science fiction and time travel contest.

With a theme of "Space, Time, & Reality" what were you expecting?

With a few months to produce something, I hope more people post pictures of their creations (sets/figs). I enjoy seeing production pics after something has been made but it's even better to see MOCs & ideas develop and mature. The space police look great and have features that none of my figs have (except the head with the smirk).

Nice link Hazzat that should help a lot of people.

I'm getting some friends to help me this time with the scripting, music score and voice acting. Looking forward to doing some animation but the sets will take a few weeks. Lego is a daily build for me usually. Even better if others get to see the end result.

Oh, it's exactly what I expected, but that's the problem.  I'm just trying to encourage people to think outside the box.  And I explained that "Space" need not refer to "outer space" in the first post.  I hadn't really intended it that way to be honest, I think with the context of "Space and Time" it tends to have a different meaning.

Is a character named Schwartz by any chance, Leo?

Re: BiM 2009: STAR [CLOSED]

Take out the 'space' from Space, Time and Reality and you get a slightly different theme...

Nope, sorry. mini/smile

It does have some interesting characters, though. It's a very character-driven story, without a ton of external action.

Fair enough, space can mean many things. Don't get me wrong I think the theme has massive scope and flexibility.
But I may need to alter my script as my 200 ewok army might not be out of the box enough. mini/lol
