Re: Share Your Test/WIP & Give Feedback

Here's a poor quality RPG turn battle test.

Re: Share Your Test/WIP & Give Feedback

I created this 4 years ago.  It ends abruptly because life happened, etc.  The source images are all lost so I plan to start over.

I made the background all blue because

  • I don't know what makes sense as a background for this scene

  • Maybe the blue can be CGI-replaced with something later

  • I have no idea what I am doing mini/eek

As I am now creating my new set, I am open to feedback on the lighting, backdrop, etc.    Thank you!

Here is a test I did in order to see how well i could sync my audio to my visuals. No crazy movement just simple body language. Im getting into animation (but I should be doing it more often) and I appriciate any feedback, thank you.

Hey I think having such natural talking for audio really works well when you're doing simple body language. I think this is a good test and considering mega bloks halo dudes don't really have a natural pose to return to, you did well to keep it smooth! It's also nice seeing three characters interacting rather then too, just seems very natural to have the other two turn and listen when one is talking. Some little gestures like one character scratching their head (or helmet mini/lol ) might work well to break up a character standing still to long but otherwise nice stuff!

I made this just to test my camera, and somehow let several years pass without making another.

Next up I’ll be adding in cinefoil and a more stable surface.

Cool background! Too bad the illusion of it is lost at this camera angle. Or maybe it's just that the pond is showing too much. Either way, I like the idea.

Camera looks good, nice and sturdy. Also smooth walk cycle. All's I can really critique is the wave animation, I'd say use sticky tack to make a more enthusiastic wave but of you want to keep your Lego moving like Lego then it's fine. Keep it up
