Is sand red touching black acceptable as the mod element?

Sand red looks pink, and pink is not an allowed variant of red. So no, sand red touching a black brick does not count as the MOD element.

Okay. Would orange be considered light red?

No. Orange is considered orange.

Re: BRAWL 2015 Starts NOW!

mini/lol Yeah, I guess that was a silly question. I was just wondering what, of the colors I have in my collection, would be considered light red. I don't think I have any of them.

Come now, the colour is commonly called sand red, and it is distinct from pink, otherwise it would be called sand pink.  I don't really think that's right.  Sand green counts when the colour mod is green, as does sand blue.

Here's how I look at it. Looking at the sand red brick, it looks exactly like pink. If I saw that brick in a film with no context as to what specific color LEGO had assigned to it, I would consider it pink. Because it looks exactly like pink.

Sand blue and green are still clearly identifiable as the color blue and green, I don't confuse those for some other color.

Alright then, oh well.

EDIT: Also, can we still crop the mod element out of our images like before?

would this piece be accepted as a mod element?

Re: BRAWL 2015 Starts NOW!

If that is the same piece as this, then I think it would only count as red. I know it has black on top, but since it is all one piece, a black piece hasn't actually been 'connected' to it.
