Re: BRAWL 2014 Update Thread!
2 mins into animation, and I've finally come up with a title:
Genghis Khan Likes Men
Welp, there goes my chance to come higher than 2nd place this time...

If you guys are interested in voice acting, my casting call is right here:
Aw, thanks guyzzz.
Very nice, Shutterpoint! Really gives the feel of deep forest, even though (from your previous posts) the set isn't really that big. The colours are great, and is the mod element in the background? I can see red but no orange.
The face on that dude is priceless.
Its both there on the web if you look at the top of the red there is a hint of orange, I can make it more clear when I animate if needed and once the visual effects are slapped on this should look great.
Looks very detailed Shutter.
FF, I really like the cluttered look of the place.
If you want me to help with some of your voices I could do that if you gave me some lines right now because I'm about to do all my recording related stuff.
There is one character who says nearly every single line and he has huge chunks of dialogue, so I'm not sure it would be fair to send you all that. Though, I have another character who says very little.
The main thing that annoys me is that my voice doesn't sound "old" enough. It sounds like a teenager (which I am). The character I need to voice is older, is a classy/"sophisticated" character who is seemingly good-natured (and probably is) yet is also ruthless and in control of the situation. Any idea on how to make my voice sound more like that?
Maybe it's me just getting used to voice-acting too, as I haven't done much of it. I'll have another chance tomorrow, so I can try again if need be.
So far I have recorded all of my lines, gotten some lines from another voice actor, built the two most used sets of the five, and I have built all of the characters. I hope to start animation later today.
I feel like I am lagging behind. I was out all day yesterday, so I only got script tweaking done, and I just finished building the sets. (Been building all day, only to stop for lunch.) I now have to clean my room AGAIN. I'll probably eat cake then start recording voices. This is exciting, being my first BRAWL. I hope I can do it. I just hope I can learn enough from this so when THAC comes around, I don't fail miserably...
(Ok, enough typing, back to cleaning.
)
I am in really bad shape. I decided to rewrite me script. I am almost done with that. Then I have to send to lines to the voice actor I got for the film, and I hope to build I few sets today.
I work weekdays, 9-5, so my time to work on my film is limited. However, during down time at work I've nearly finalized my script and will hopefully get storyboarding done as well.
Son of a BEACHBALL!!! I realized that I forgot the mod element in a shot. But I already destroyed the set. ![]()
I was going to post a video with Eddie Murphy with a female body, but Nathan Wells would catch me. So, here is a photo for the slideshow scene.

I rebuilt an entire set an hour ago because I realised the mod element wasn't clear enough. Luckily, I only need it for a few exterior, establishing shots.
I just realized I might have to re-build an entire set to add some extra shots. Oh well, hopefully I can get around it.

What do you mean?
Fear of having to rebuild sets or retake shots is why I'm taking the extra time to storyboard.

A clip of my entry, which I may cut from the final product. And frankly, I think Nathan is watching me carefully.
I always just try to desing it so almost any sort of shot I want is doable.
Though, Last year I made the mistake of making the walls of the Odoriferous Lair particularly troublesome to remove, and I wanted to shoot all of the shots in order. But for the Dungeon of Korange which is a very similar set I'm rectifying this error.

Hey Squid,
I sent you a PM of the lines. I just wanted to make sure you saw it. ![]()
I finished my title card. ![]()

Now to finish counting how many frames long parts of lines are so I can start animating.
I've only got 300 frames done. Also, a while ago, a huge set fell to the floor before I could take any pictures of it.
I'm not gonna rebuild it, instead I'm gonna make a mini version of it. Oh, and the set was a city.
