Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Nice frame Willco66! I especially like the focus on the guards!

Onion, maybe it's a little too dark? Not much though. Nice frame.

Here's a frame from my upcoming summer series "Transformers: Legacy". The plot is on Earth so there will be Lego minifigs as well mini/smile

Yes, but it's a little difficult to see what's happening.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

For the people with night time pics. Try brightening the scene and making it bluer. Moonlight is pretty blue. Those frames seem too dark and too black.

night time in cinema and in reality are two separate things. Unless you're shooting a horror film I'd suggest to embrace the blue and brighten the image.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Now that I've gotten the first week of school out of the way, I've had time to edit this short:

I love the way the repeating studs are combined with the slowly fading light source. Nice stuff.

Freshly shot from my T2i

http://puu.sh/6HHH7.jpg

A Life? Cool! Where can I download one of those from?

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Wow, that looks really great, Carroll! The T2i seems to be working for you. Do you enjoy using it?

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I love it! I actually plan on buying a wide angle lens for cool dolly zoom shots along with a macro adapter so I can get those really close up shots.

A Life? Cool! Where can I download one of those from?

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Nice frame Carroll! Wish I could get those shots on my 1100D!

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

the 1100D is a lower quality version of the T3i.

it's 12.2MP compared to the 18MP, but you need to remember, it's always about the lens that matters. The more expensive the lens is, the finer the glass on the inside.

A Life? Cool! Where can I download one of those from?

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Im hoping on buying a lens in the near future. Any suggestions?

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Right now, I still use the kit lens that came with mine. EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II

Other than that I have a 55-300mm lens and 50mm prime lens that isn't very good for brickfilming, but has really sharp glass which is amazing.

A Life? Cool! Where can I download one of those from?

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I use the 18-50mm lens, its good for photography, but poor for close up shots for brickfilms. I may need to start investing.

Test

New video I'm working on; really trying to use good cinematography.

*It'll look better with a colour grade*

The lens you use is fine. Of course, there are better lenses out there, but if you are REALLY wanting to get a new lens, I suggest you just buy a Fotodiox extension tube on Amazon for about $14. As long as you have a good story, it doesn't matter what equipment you have. Good Luck!
