Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Galactic Films, did you not read this:

Have a set or prop you want critique on? Post it here.

If a person hasn't gotten critique in at least 24 hours, another person can post a set or prop. If the person has received critique from 3-4 posts, another person can post. If you do not understand, just say so. I'll try to explain it better. mini/wink

It can be from a future brickfilm, or just a creation you've been working on for fun.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Wait, I don't understand. What did Galactic do wrong?

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Well, Galactic posted a hour after I posted, and I didn't get 3-4 post, the rules say:

If a person hasn't gotten critique in at least 24 hours, another person can post a set or prop. If the person has received critique from 3-4 posts, another person can post

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Maybe Galactic didn't see yours in the middle of the discussion about squid's set. Also yours is a basic room set. It's not a bad one it just doesn't have much to comment about.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Such a calamity.
Man, I've got the NSA on the line - they'll be here momentarily with an elite team of anti-terrorism agents to arrest that time defying cyber-jihadist under the guise of 'Galactic Films'. Hang in there dude, the road ahead is going to be rocky, but you can persevere!!

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

This is based off a scene from The book Star Wars: rebel force: target. It was a great book. So I'm doing a trailer for the book as if I were to make a movie of it. This is the first time I will try to do a script, so I hope it turns out alright. mini/smile

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Although this set cannot compete with many of the previous entries, I would like some feedback.
This is by far the best outdoors set I have made so far, most of my sets have been indoors.

I was thinking I should at some brown, sand and green to the ground.

I'm quite happy with the set, I'm probably going to expand. I want to improve it in any way possible. Maybe flowers? Or variety in color?

I might add my Minifigs to the critique thread on that.

Thanks all!

Yes, I think some sand would compliment the set very nicely. I like what you're doing, but I also think there's a little too much going on. I don't think it would hurt to take away one of the floral pieces. And I think the wall is a little too coloured; you seem to have a sort of odd colour pattern going on there.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Yeah I was thinking that the flora was a little over the top. I kind of still like the weird colors of the wall, but I'll probably make it into a more solid gray.

Thanks for the feedback!

I think you mean flora. Fauna means animals.

Thanks for correcting me, Jampot. I fixed my comment.

I built some plants.

These aren't for any specific project, but if I ever need a jungle/fantasy scene I'll probably use them in that.

Excellent designs! Brilliant use of Dr. Charles Lightning's hats.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Those trees do look like ones out of a fantasy/adventure film.  Also, when I saw the bottom trees, especially the small ones, I couldn't help but think of mushrooms.  Maybe it's just me... mini/smile

Have a nice day! mini/smile

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

OMG THOSE ARE AWESOME!

You have to do a film, even a really short one, just to show off these trees/shrooms. You have to. It's the law.

BTW do you have Flickr?
