That looks awesome
on another note am I the only one whos sub box is massively overlapping to the youtube page?

Has anyone else had this feature appear in Youtube? It only seems to work in an incognito browser in Chrome for me.

It sometimes pops up for me, but only on occasion (sort of randomly, I guess). It is nice for watching sped-up shows, though. ![]()
It's an odd bit of discrepancy, but in itself, is really quite useful. I watch certain brickfilms at 0.25x speed, so I can take in some of the techniques used. Useful, if not a bit weird.
Yah, it seems a bit arbitrary, although I would guess that it only works for certain types of video files accepted by YouTube, that's just a guess.
I think you have to do a clicking in the video settings to enable this
I think YouTube implemented this feature so Data from Star Trek can process information quicker. As for us humans - this is fairly pointless.
I just realized that my country settings were set to Canada, when I went to change it; there was no United States.
Am I the only one who's annoyed by the completely unnecessary update to the player that actually cuts off the bottom of the video? I know its really minor, but my inner OCD freak is going insane.
Also, if the video has subtitles then surely the player is going to cut off part of the text - making it a pain in the prostate to read?

so that's why I couldn't read subtitles that well.
And you can't close the pop-up?

It's only just started turning up for me, and for some reason only works on certain videos. I would generally agree that it isn't particularly useful... although many clips (such as this) are hilarious when played at double speed.

I think what it's done for some reason is just moved the video down, so now there's some really annoying black bar at the top and the bottom is obscured by the timeline.

I make short action films with a friend. I want to put them on YouTube so some of my other friends and family can view them. Why is that so hard? Why do I need to connect it to a Google+ page? Why can't it just be an independent account, rather than one directly connected to my Google email? Why does Google insist upon using Youtube as a way to shoe-horn people into it's failed Google+ venture?
Now I see why people lament the 'good old days' of Youtube. Rant over.
Free video hosting.
It's not like Google has any way of forcing you to use your actual email address; if it really bothers you, make a new email you never plan on using and link it to that. A little circuitous I grant you, but less so than buying a server to host your own films. G+ does a fairly good job of making itself invisible if you don't want to use it, in my opinion. Making a Youtube account now is more inconvenient than it was five years ago in that the registration process might take... three more minutes? I wouldn't personally call it hard, by any means. Let's be frank- if the registration process were really difficult, the comment section on any given film would be much less moronic. That's not to say your frustration is unfounded- I just think the severity is a little unwarranted.
And there's always Vimeo, of course. That's the route I would go if I was looking to share with a select audience.
I never use Google+, since I hate Google. My account is strictly for YouTube videos. I do use Youtube without all the Google stuff, even though I hate it, because that's where the videos are.
You never know with Google. You know what makes me laugh? their "motto", "Don't be evil." It's a joke, right? I get it!
CONS: you are a partner with Google.
It's just the partnering with Google that I hate. I even hate posting to YT...
I hate Google+ and I hate facebook.
I hate the fact that I post my videos there, but it's the place people go to watch.
I actually hate YouTube and think the Google company is evil...
I never use Google+, since I hate Google.
