It's great! But one thing that caught my eye (a small thing), there's a lot of brown. The bookshelves, the table, the floor, the mantle, and some on the walls. If maybe you could break it up? And if not, like I said it's just a small thing; other than that it looks awesome! The globe, , that is cool.

Okay, I pulled the fireplace out one stud, and it looks a lot better, not sure why I didn't do that in the first place. I know there's a lot of brown, but I shoot almost exclusively with a 50 mm prime lens, which means that the floor isn't going to show up very much, and I think that there's enough color on the wall to keep the brown from being monotonous. Also, I'm going for the sort of all brown look to the study, it was popular in the late 1800's, the time I'm going for. Pritchard, I also switched the two colored stripe to one color, it looks better.

It's too cramped and a doesn't really fit the 1940s style of Indiana Jones. Also, I'm curious, why is there a Minifigure Series 8 Conquistador calmly standing there?

The brown does seem to overwhelm in the overall shot of the set, but I think the framed shot looks perfectly fine. I wouldn't reduce the brown, I agree with your reasoning that it fits the interior design of the time.

The only thing I might change is the design of the desk to the left. It's the only thing that blends in too much with the brown floor. Is there any way you can break it up with some dark gray, or dark tan? It's also rather plain compared to the rest of the furniture.

On the office, it looks quite jumbled together and not very well planned out.
The light grey curve element sticks out like a sore thumb, and the walls don't go near high enough to be practical.
The red bricks in that wall are out of place, and the castle top piece seems slapped on for no reason.

The two side walls match, and look fairly good, but that far wall is made up of all sorts of things. (Tan, grey and red, plus brown shelves.) The yellow chairs don't really go with anything, and the overall look makes it seem like you're really limited on your bricks.

Final tip: Cut down the color count. Randomly colored things are fine on a book shelf, but not scattered all throughout the room. Find what bricks you have, and build something with them, even if one wall doesn't match the others, find a good reason for it to be so. (All the shelves are over there, that's the exposed brick wall, whereas the others are Sheetrock, Ect.) Just be sure to make it blend well.

@GEF - I feel like the yellow roofs are a bit too bright compared to the rest of the set. I'm assuming they're supposed to be made of hay, but if you look at real thatched roofs you'll see that they're usually a lot closer to brown or gray than yellow. I'd suggest you try switching the yellow out for tan or dark tan to fit the rest of the set better.

@GHB - Your set looks pretty good, but the color choices on some of the furniture don't make much sense to me (like the grey plate on the couch, the blue chair, and the white tabletop on the round tan brick) and the red stripe is weird. The yellow shelf is also kind of distracting (and I feel like it's a bit too full). The white furniture and walls also blend together and seem washed out.

But I think the amount of furniture you have in there is realistic and it does look like a living room. The only details I think you might be lacking are some pictures on the walls. Nice work!
