Topic: Star Wars Blaster Effect

SO. It's been a while since I was last here, near on 2 years in fact. A lot has changed since then, but now I'm making a comeback. I've been working on a new animation (currently in pre-production) for the past month, and to get back into the swing of things, I've been doing a few animation/vfx tests. They are pretty basic, walk cycles, jumps and the likes, but I thought why not upload them and get some community feedback?! The quality of Brickfilms has definitely improved since I was here last, so I better keep up.  Anyway, without further ado, here is my Star Wars Blaster Test. Enjoy and let me know what you think! mini/smile

Re: Star Wars Blaster Effect

The effect of the blasters was good.
It could go better without the zoom, though, and the animation itself looked a wee bit odd.

Re: Star Wars Blaster Effect

Yeah the zoom was a poor execution I know. What was wrong with the animation?

Re: Star Wars Blaster Effect

It felt like the pullback created by the guns was a bit too much.  Also, I didn't get why you had his head shaking.

Re: Star Wars Blaster Effect

Yeah you're probably right. He's meant to be looking at each gun as he shoots, aiming if you will. But like I said, it's just a test so it's not perfect mini/smile
