A little different, I'm trying out a Film Riot Monday Challenge...

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Ooo nice, best of luck! The lighting is pretty nice! I'd like to try to make an entry for this challenge.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I wouldn't really call this a frame from an upcoming film, more so just for a short.

Wow, those pictures are sick! Here's one I thought was worth sharing:

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Sweet pic, JP, really like the lighting. I like yours too, GHB, nice POV. However i wish the sniper guy was more in the frame so there was more of the frame focused.

Hot off the press; an unprocessed, unedited "RAW" frame from my upcoming film.  Obviously it needs colour grading, a couple of explosions and the blue bricks to be erased, but you get the idea of what it's going to look like.  I'll also be cropping at least 25% of it (hence the edge of the set being visible).
This is also shot at 3:2 2.5k resolution, but will be scaled down to 2.40:1 1080p purely because my software and computer can't handle anything above that at the moment.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Don't forget to mask the reflection.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Well I can see books in the background, but I would of thought you will be cropping them out. Other than that, it looks fine! mini/smile

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

GHB, I really like the angle of that shot. You really get a sense of the height of it all.

Heh, I was actually starting to think about filming in 2k+, but it seems our laptops simply can't handle it.

Cool frame, by the way, though I do hope that the animation has improved some.

Haven't seen anything posted in this thread for a while, so:

This is the first frame from a short film I'm working on while scripting 'PITCH'.
I'm experimenting with low-key lighting, which is proving challenging.  I'm also shooting "night", which I haven't really ever attempted before.
I won't say too much about what's going on in the picture, I'll leave it to your imaginations mini/wink

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Truthfully, I'm not too sure what to say about it.

The first thing I noticed was the light/dark contrast for the rooms, and while it does work, because of where the focus is, it's hard to make out many details in this frame. I'm sure the yellow will be explained later, but I would have made that red as well to match the rest of the walls/room.

The focus is obviously on the man up close, and it appears that he is bringing the package into a strange, and possible dangerous room. I would have shifted it to focus on the men, as they are sure to be important to the later plot, as since the attention would have been on the man up to this point, the focus (In-camera) would have signaled and helped to ease in the plots/story's new subjects.

Of course, other than that it looks good. And my few thoughts may be totally wrong in regards to the plot and what's happening here, and they may also be nothing more than mindless babbling. mini/tongue

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

The yellow is just cupboards, but I didn't have any red or black ones (I probably should have just found something else to use).

You're kind of on the right lines, but not totally. It'll all make sense when you see it mini/wink

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Bit of a bump....

http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff416/PritchardStudios/Anotherframe_zpsda5137e9.jpg

STEAMPUNK, what else.
Nearing completion on filming, one more long-ish scene on the current set, and then one very long, and a couple of short ones on a different set and that's it. Six months of production (On and off) and filming is just starting to wrap up. mini/confused

There are more on my facebook page, but I think this is the first frame that I've posted here.

And I love my multi-color flashlight. Just saying.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Looks amazing, I'm really excited to see the film. mini/smile

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Pritchard - I really like the lighting. The red tint gives it an interesting feel.

Anyway, here's one of mine. Same film as my last frame...also, same room. Thus, the lighting is fairly basic. Oh well.
