Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I think if you were able to get windows that covered the whole area, then it would look that much better.  The lines between window pieces you are using now makes it look much more like a building.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

The issue with such is that cars are not usually totally square (unless you drive this ) and that is why it looks like a building. Now, I'm not quite sure how this could be accomplished with legos but perhaps employing Technic pieces or stuff like this:

The animation looks superb, by the way. If you can pull this off you will be a legend forever because DANG CAR SCENES ARE HARD (I sense a potential animation challange!)

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I'd suggest making it more compact, ass a dashboard, and make the windows be smooth.

I would think so.

I'm going to be having a car scene in Vampire Cinema, right at the beginning. Some people are going to be talking in the back of the truck.

Luckily, since there aren't windows back there, I won't need a background, and the easily removable flaps at the side will make it easy to get in there.
Though, I'd really like to animate a bit of a shake to make it look like they're on some bumpy road. I'm not sure how I'm going to be doing that yet.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Thank you all for the great feedback! I plan on adding pieces in front of the window to give it a more curved look like you see in some car windows. In addition to this I'm going to add some stuff in the back so that it doesn't look quite so "square" as you guys were saying. I like the idea of the dashboard so I'll probably add something for that as well. Thanks for the great feedback everyone! It's gonna help me to make this scene even better!

Just a test image.. I'm considering to reboot the Martian Gothic series in cgi

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Wow, that looks very good Titan; I like it.

Here's a little something from a film I'm currently working on. I've never really posted any frames in this thread and I like how this one came out so I thought, why not.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Looks good, Tobias. The only things that bother me are 1) The focus looks a little funny, unless that's what you're trying to get at here. And 2) The grey background looks odd. If you are going for a "cloudy day" kind of look, you might not want the set to look so bright. Otherwise, it looks fine. I'm excited that you're working on something new! mini/smile

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Yeah well if you weren't against post-production camera movement, it would be quite simple. Add some engine noise in the background and do the digital camera shake a little. Looks ok and is believable mini/tongue

@Tobias, interesting frame! The set does look a little empty with all that grey in the background though.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Thanks for the feedback, guys! Yeah, the set is pretty simple. I might improve on it later. Mickey, when you say funny, do you mean that the woman instead of the two men is in focus? In that case, yes, that is what I was going for. The background's not actually grey, it's blue, but it did turn out to look like grey in this sequence I suppose. I'll try to improve on the lighting and the set.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Hey Tobias, I would suggest just putting something along the horizon to break up the harsh line going across the frame. It would help to soften the edge of the background and the set. I think anyways. Otherwise a nice shot all in all.

Yes, I have actually thought of that. I might do that, but the problem is, I've already started animating and have only a little time to finish the film; I'll try to figure it out. Thanks for the feedback!

What I meant was pretty much that [what you said], yeah. The character on the bench was in focus, and I could hardly see the other two guys.

What is that? mini/bigsmile Is it the good old way to make a title sequence?

It's an image on Bent's TV Screen.

This is a frame from my upcoming film "Zombie Attack". It's from a dream sequence in which a starving man dreams about... food! mini/smile

@Larry Simmons
That looks nice, except now I'm hungry.  For some reason I've never thought of actually putting pizza on a plate... mini/confused

I'm still slowly working on The Avengers trailer, so here's a test shot for the part with Captain America in the gym

That's not the actual lighting or camera I'll be using, thus the "test shot".
What do you think?  Does it match up pretty well to the actual trailer?
(I know the top right edge of the set shows, that won't happen when I actually film it)

Cool

I assume it is supposed to be this bit? Because I can definitely see the resemblance mini/bigsmile (which is a good sign)
Making The Avengers trailer looks a lot of work so good luck!
