Dead Man's Chest is my favorite POTC movie... ![]()
I loved the Kraken and Davy Jones.
I've heard of the actual series, but this is silly. I think Bruckheimer is taking it a step too far this time.
@topit
I haven't actually read the book, but all I know about the movie is that I know the producer, he's the dad of one of my best friends, so my friend left for six months last year to Taiwan during filming
pretty awesome...yeah.
The Lone Ranger looks like a fun, fast, forgettable action flick, just like the majority of films these days. I'll probably go see it for the ride, but I doubt it'll be any better than that
definitely looking forward to the sets, if there will be! (Especially remembering the bandit and cowboy, as well as the native Americans, from the collectible minifig series)
I think the trailer for the new Great Gatsby looks amazing. I've literally just finished reading the book for my English Lit. class, and I really enjoyed that, and it looks like the new movie will do it justice. Finally, a decent actress to play Daisy!
I just watched that trailer, and I must agree, that looks like a really fun movie. One point that amused me was the juxtaposition of the 20's imagery and the modern club house music or whatever. If the whole movie has these sorts of subtle anachronsims I bet it could turn out to be really quirky.
WHELP, it looks like I have to read the book now!! ![]()

DISCUSS!
Turns out that not only are they making an Iron Man 3, but also that you can watch the trailer by clicking this link.
(Thank FBTB for the news and link.)
They're Kryptonite handcuffs. ![]()
idk, I had the same reaction as you when I first saw it.
Speaking of The Hobbit, it's possible that I'll be able to see it at Midnight December 14, the first showing. ![]()
I loved the last Star Trek, and I love Star Trek in general, and BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH! OH YES!
The Iron Man Rises
Hahaha, totally took the words right out of my mouth. ![]()
He's in handcuffs flanked by soldiers...whhaaaaa?
Well, if this is about the origins of Superman, before everyone knows he a hero, then it's likely that he's been arrested as a vigilante, or that the military's captured him to find out about his powers. I mean, if I was the government, I'd be pretty worried if a super-powered invincible being suddenly turned up out of nowhere to fight criminals. From the government's perspective, he could equally well suddenly turn on them and attack the government the next day, so they perceive him as a threat.
Either that, or those are Lexcorp soldiers. ![]()
[About the Star Trek poster] Is that meant to be London? ![]()
I'm asking because the one building on the right is the Gherkin, a building in London, but none of the other buildings look like ones from London.
