Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

I am very much looking forward to The Incredibles 2, as the original was one of my favorite Pixar films. While I'm not interested in seeing Cars 3 at all, it has a marketable appeal with merchandise.

I do agree with Jargon about Pixar and their seemingly never ending sequel trend (You can thank Disney for that). At least they're making The Inside Out, which looks intriguing at this point.

Although yes, I wish they would make more original content, I'm happy to see a new Incredibles movie, arguably the only Pixar movie that really needed a sequel. And as for Cars 3...it makes sense that Pixar would make a third one for the sake of milking out more profit, but that being said, it's a shame that Pixar would lower itself to that.

But I'm really excited for their new film, Inside Out. The plot sounds extremely intriguing:

Riley, the once happy-go-lucky pre-teen, is uprooted from her pleasant life in Minnesota and thrust into a new, unwelcome existence in San Francisco. That's when the emotions take over, much to the chagrin of her baffled parents. Anger, Disgust, Fear, Sadness and Joy spar, collaborate and miscommunicate with one another in an attempt to keep her functioning, and find new friends.

And he wasn't kidding. If you guys didn't know, the teaser trailer was released last week been released along with some still photos from the teaser.

Spoiler (click to read)

Other than the deadpan, tired 2001 reference, at the beginning of the teaser clip,

I'd say that the filmmakers at Blue Sky will take the correct route in adapting these classic characters in a successful way that remains faithful to Schulz (how could they not, when Charles Schulz' descendants are working on the film with them, always watching over the screenwriters' every move, just in case they were to go wrong? mini/tongue ). Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

My initial reaction to that trailer is quite positive. I really like the animation style, I hope the entire movie is in that sort of 2.5D style, that would be really cool, and they seem to have gone the route of having actual children do the voice acting, the same way Charles Shulz did the old cartoons, which is a huge plus. Also, that opening...was hilarious. mini/tongue

I wrote a spoiler-filled review of The Amazing Spider-man 2, if anyone's interested.

I'm hoping to get back into the habit of blogging regularly, and this seems like a good place to start.

Be warned, it contains spoilers!

So sad my favorite company (Pixar) would stoop to this.
