I'm getting ads about advertising
Heh heh. Same here.
After a while, a My Little Pony-related ad (toothpaste) came up. I was wondering when that was going to happen. It comes up every time I go to the main Forums page.
EDIT: Not anymore. Now, it just comes up irregularly, but it comes up more frequently if I go to a pony-related page or site then come back here.

THE WEDDING SHOP: SHOP NOW
I keep getting one about Chrome (says the guy using Chrome). Also Sméagol, would it be possible to disable animated ads? They're very, very distracting.
That's exactly what the company wants. A distracting ad.
Some of them you can, (not all,) if you right click on it, some say block ads from... (name.)
What if we could strike a deal with bricklink or lego PAB? To them, it would be an ad, and a way of getting more(?) customers. To us, it wouldn't be an annoying irrelevant ad, rather a more convenient way of connecting our Lego purchases
I've seen a similar thing done on another site. There's this cycling manager sim that I play, and there's an add on that for an online bike store.
Since PAB style stores aren't exactly as common as a bike store, we could expand our boundaries a bit for a (online?) toy store that is wanting more notice within the community.
It would be very valuable for both ends of the deal ![]()
EDIT: And with some companies, they may even throw in a bonus on a monthly basis if the ad performs better than usual.
