Re: Lego Star Wars - Battle oh Hoth revisited shot by shot

Wow, seriously impressive.  I didn't see this the first time that it was posted, I guess. The attention to detail on things like lighting and colors really made it work.

That.  Was. Effing.  Awesome.

I don't usually resort to emoticons to express my emotions, as I feel a competent writer can do without.  However, in this instance, the only thing that can properly express my feelings is

Yes, it was very well animated. I agree with the BuilderBrother's review.

Great work it was a pleasure to look at.

Re: Lego Star Wars - Battle oh Hoth revisited shot by shot

AMAZING!!!  Blown away first time I saw this.  Obviously you spent a lot of time working on this film, and it shows.  Great job!

Never leave home without a camera.

Re: Lego Star Wars - Battle oh Hoth revisited shot by shot

this is my favorite lego reanac, ent of the battle of hoth ever it sticks to the story has good sets and decent animation and the best part its a stop motion:lol: so many times have i search for a good animation of this and always comes with a video tape of a kid making the voices and sounds i am impressed:D

Re: Lego Star Wars - Battle oh Hoth revisited shot by shot

Knowing most star wars themed films turn out boring and cheesy, this was great. mini/bigsmile I've never seen anything like this, for real. The only star wars attempt films ate made to be comedy so this was a good switch. I really enjoyed the animation and effects, too. Great job and a solid 5/5!

You don't need to double post,as we have an edit button.
Also, this thread was MONTHS old,and you don't need to bump threads with pointless points that have incorrect grammar,as this is not a chatroom.

Re: Lego Star Wars - Battle oh Hoth revisited shot by shot

Well done.. I saw it before.. But now I'm in Germany I couldn't see it due some music copyrights bla bla.. so a proxy did the job.

Re: Lego Star Wars - Battle oh Hoth revisited shot by shot

This was really amazing. It just surprised me, and is probably one of the best stop motions I've ever seen! Great work!

Re: Lego Star Wars - Battle oh Hoth revisited shot by shot

WOW this is your first film? The effects were stunning but the animation was a little bit choppy. But you have a real talent for brickfilming effects. Could you take a look at my wizard of oz post and give me ideas for some of my special effects! Wonderful job.

Re: Lego Star Wars - Battle oh Hoth revisited shot by shot

Thanks for this! mini/bigsmile
It was inspirational to see such high-quality animation in a brickfilm. It makes a film I'm editing now look jerky and rubbish:(

Re: Lego Star Wars - Battle oh Hoth revisited shot by shot

Didn't realise you posted the vid here too, thanks for explaining your motion capturing rig to me! However, do you have pictures? I think everyone would be interested in seeing how it looked before the after effects.

Re: Lego Star Wars - Battle oh Hoth revisited shot by shot

Hi everybody! It's been a long while since my last post.. My apologies, I was really busy the last year. But now, I'm back!! 2012 I'll be able to shot few lego videos, I reckon my next brick film will coming out in april! (I hope so because I haven't really started to film yet cause to some camera's problem)
Anyway, thanks guys for your comments, it's really cool!
To answer you brickmaster0803, obviously I couldn't film inside the AT cockpit, It's to small. So as for the snowspeeder's cockpit, I built bigger cockpits trying to get the best look like in the movie.
For you guys living in Germany, I've uploaded my video on dailymotion and vimeo now.
Reading the ForlornCreature's suggestion, I've found some pictures of my work today (I was a bit nostalgic to see them after all this time, one year ago), so you can have a look.
