Re: YouTube
The categories that Youtube puts videos in doesn't seem fair, as the uploader should decide where their video goes, not Youtube. I don't want a LEGO music video to go under "music videos" and not brickfilms.

I think there are groups of videos YouTube puts downloads under. You know, more specific groups.

I am thinking of making a new YouTube channel. The one that I use now doesn't give me the freedom I need, I can't even change my profile picture without having it pended by my friend. Also, people won't ask why my channel is called BriksJoey.
So whadd'ya think, should I do it? I want to, my only worry is if my subscribers won't sub to the new channel.
Well I guess it's really up to what you want to do. Is it a joint account owned with you and your friend? Also do people ask you a lot why you are called BriksJoey? Cause hardly anyone ever asks why I'm called A Repelling Spider.
Anyways, I've had no experience with moving channels, so I can't offer much.
Yes, it's a joint account. People ask us a lot why we are called BriksJoey, both in real life and on the internetz. "Your name is Joey, isn't it?" "If your name isn't Joey, why is your channel called BriksJoey?" I like having full control over stuff, and I can't have that when having a joint account.
I just assumed you misspelled rappelling and decided to go with it. ![]()

I did miss spell that! Woah. Hmmm... well there's a funny story I can tell down the road.
It's alright though, cause I don't like spiders and I find them quite repelling. My username actually came to me one day when I was sitting at my computer and this tiny spider rappelled down from my head. I found it significant enough to post about on facebook and a lot of people commented on it and I decided it would be an interesting username. So... it originally was meant to be "rappelling", but I made a typo and now it is "repelling".

I am deathly terrified by spiders so this is my favorite username ![]()
Put up a new background today, finally optimized for Cosmic Panda:

My username was originally topitmonkeydog spelled correctly but then my account got hacked so then I made a new one spelled like this and I like it much better because it has CHARACTER.
I just got a new channel, here.
Now I can subscribe to anyone and do whatever I want, it feels so good! ![]()
I'm going to make a new youtube account soon as well. DJMation has been okay, but I think I have used it for too many things that are not related to animation or brickfilming.
Still thinking of a name though.
I'm having a hard time getting my views and subscribers transferred to the the new channel, do you have any tips for that?
It only works if you have very loyal subscribers (and also a bunch of them). Most of the people are lazy, they'll be like "Meh... he's changing the channel". But yeah Pritchard's right, you still gotta let ppl know about the move.
I did tell my subscribers in a newsletter feed, but a video might be a good idea in case they only are notified of my videos.
Defiantly do a video. It's what they subscribe to your channel for after all, videos. So they'll pay attention to one. Not all of them, but at least some.
