I feel like I am a member of a minor group that doesn't hate him.
Some of his stuff (especially his older videos) is really fun to watch, but his most recent videos (Captain America for instance) had so much gore it almost made me sick.

Why can't YouTube just listen to the people...
Kind of late, but last week I passed 500 subs, thanks everybody! I am editing a new short film now.

I checked my youtube channel, and I did not notice ads. The ad setting were on , but the dollar sign on my video manager page was gone. Is everyone experiencing this, or do I have a problem?
Edit: Never mind. My adsense account was disabled. ![]()

D'you know why?
Yeah. They Said it was because I made $5 really fast, so they think someone clicked my ads like really fast, and so it would not be fair to the people who make the ads, so my account was disabled and the money that I made has been returned.
I got Google Adsense a few days ago. Unless you're prepared to fill in all kinds of online forms and wait several days until you can actually earn your $0.01 a year, its really not that worth it.
For almost every video, I've had to file a 'revenue share claim' form. This is the equivalent of trying to get a Disabled Student allowance through the NHS: its a pain to fill out, you dont hear anything back for months, and chances are your still not going to get anything despite it being perfectly within your rights to claim it.
At this moment in time, I'm having to fight for ad revenue on THIS video I did. If your too lazy to click on it, you will notice that there is NO SOUND on it. And there are no copyrighted visuals of any kind (unless you count the LEGO itself - and if your going by that logic then technically no-one on this website is allowed to claim ad revenue). My response to YouTube was basically "Uh, you did notice its silent...right?"
Also, you would think YouTube would be fully aware of Incomputech by now. I'm tempted to make all my videos from now on silent just so that I dont have to find the names of all the tracks I used, link them all to the form, and then link Incomputech's Creative Commons policy. I would migrate to Blip.tv, but hardly anyone visits that site and apparently its unreliable when it actually comes to paying you.
Lesson of today: Even when your trying to make money out of doing something you love, its still a pain in the rectum. Thank god hardly anyone actually watches my video's, or else I would be furious.
(Oh, and I'm back - even though I never really went away. Yay)

how fast did you accumulate the money? Like 5 dollars in an hour?
Apparently, there are two sorts of YouTube partners now.
The type that gets the banners, and the type that just get monetization. If you are the first, you make money based on views, not on the number of ads that are clicked on.
So like, that's wrong. It's a combination of views and clicks, and it depends on what the advertiser offers YouTube.
Anyways, I've placed ads on my Tumblr page and it's been getting money faster than my YouTube, I have 15 dollars so far from Tumblr in the past week, and I'm still at 54 from YouTube from the past 2 years.
I've got £130 from YouTube since last August, but things have slowed down. As in, I've only made £0.01 this month. 4 real.
